| *sigh* This is going to take a loooooooong time, isn't it? I know you warned me.......I love your long chapters, so thanks for that. I just want to read it all- now! It really is wonderful and I can just see the angst Hermione and Severus pile on each other ramping up.........did you ever publish this anywhere else? Is there any bribe you'd accept to get me more story sooner? xoxo Author's Response: LOL Bit of a long time, yes :D . Glad you're happy with the chapter lengths. It varies a bit, but I try to keep them nicely sized, because I always want to *read* big chapters when it's my turn to read rather than to write. Sadly, it is not in a completed state anywhere online. I'm posting here and on ff.net once a week. And I've refused really good cheesecake as a bribe to get the whole thing, so I'm afraid you're out of luck as well. But thanks for the review ^_^ | |||

| Wow.... Minister Bones is a complete moron, as I understand it:
A) If a Pure Adult is a wand-using human being who, upon reaching a designated age, was still a virgin,
and
B) Pure Adults gain additional magical power when they first have sex
and
C) Pure Adults grant additional magical power to whoever they first have sex with
THEN
D) Points B and C and irrelevant to questioning new adults about their virginity
and
E) Questioning new adults about their _current_ virginity is completely irrelevant and silly.
and
F) Questioning new adults about their virginity as of the precise day and time they "became adult" might be relevant.
Since the Ministry, Minister Bones, and apparently Kingsley Shacklebolt are all in on it, I assume they're all morons.
Severus, who has no doubt faced much larger doses of Veritaserum from Death Eaters, the Order, Riddle, and possibly Dumbledore himself, probably combined with torture and Legilimency all at once, likely A) has more ways of resisting than Hermione and Harry, and B) recognized the question as irrelevant.
Side note: any student who decided to interpret virginity as, say, anal virginity, or any other form of "virginity" beyond intercourse could have answered based on that - Ron might have answered based on "Are you a World Cup Quiddich team member virgin"! Author's Response: I've put author's notes at the top of chapter eleven which hopefully address most of your issues here; sometimes, Hermione isn't aware of everything that's going on, and so you don't get the full explanation of why events occur the way that they occur in fic. Usually I have a reason for what I'm doing, although sometimes I mess up ^_^ , so it's good to know you're making sure I'm on the straight and narrow. As a side note, just because Kingsley is there, it doesn't necessarily mean he has approved of or contributed to what is being done; he *does* do what Minister Bones orders him to (for the most part, anyway). In my fic, at least, Severus has different ways of getting round Veritaserum than Hermione & Harry (namely, the antidote and lots of practice being interrogated). Since it's in the Order's best interest that Voldemort think the Ministry testing was properly done for as long as possible, Severus's assurances to that effect to Voldemort may or may not be his true feelings on the matter. The question of different sorts of virginity is more finnicky, but I've explained how it works to my mind given the world I've created. It's not perfect, but this *is* a Ministry interrogation of students, and you *have* made some acute observations about that body's overall intelligence :D . Thanks again for the review ^_^ | |||

| Looking good with the Weresbane potion. Interesting theory - do you write original fiction? You have great ideas...I don't think you need Harry Potter in order to write. I wonder what Snape's going to do now, especially since Hermione just confirmed under Veritaserum that she's not a virgin... Author's Response: I *do* write original fiction, but it's more or less on hold at the moment as I bounce around in a couple of fandoms. | I just found this story a few days ago and I am completely hooked. The idea is so original and I love it! That being said....what an evil cliffie!! Seriously, I cannot wait for the next chapter. | I think this is the first time I've reviewed, but I've been following this story for a few weeks now. And I must say, it is delightful. Well thought-out and well characterized, with lots of room for speculation. And you have a way of encluding magical theory that isn't... boring, as it can be in a lot of stories. It is a bit slow moving, but that just adds to the suspence. Speaking of suspence, lovely cliffhanger. I'm throroughly cliff-hung. And, on a note unrelated to the story itself, I love your punctuality with updates. It's like when you follow a tv show, and once a week you get that anticipation of 'hey, today it show day!' Wonderful. Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to review--I really enjoy hearing back from my readers, and it's great to know that you're not getting bored by the theory; since this story is meant to be comprehensive and is from Hermione's POV, I found that I *had* to include a lot of it because Hermione's always thinking about those sorts of things. I'm also pleased that you find the slow build-up suspenseful. Being as reliable as possible with updates is something that I feel I owe my readers ^_^ | |||
