This story is so engrossing! Being a dedicated SS/HG 'shipper, I do wish Severus would get over himself, but I'm so enjoying your descriptions of moon phase effects on werewolf transformation, the proper brewing of weresbane, and all the wonderful additions and expansions you've made to JK Rowling's world, that I'm not too upset at the lack of kissyface (although I'm hoping for more in future chapters).

| Hey, Great story so far! My biggest criticism is that it REALLY should be marked as Angst. Romance is a total misnomer for this story, as there is NONE between the principles... I like your Supergirl!Hermione! because I love strong women characters. Mostly, I also love all the details you give, because they give a feeling of veracity to the tale. Most of our lives are filled with these details, after all. However, this chapter goes into a bit too much detail about minor plot strings and it can get tiresome. Other than that, good job you! |

| I'm glad they finally let Draco in on their animagus' forms. That was cool! But I am impatient for some (non-angry) Hermione-Severus interaction. There has been so little of that for so many chapters, it feels like this is not really an SS/HG fic. Please tell me that she will talk to Severus in the next chapter. |

| Some lovely details in this one: the descriptions and situations of the werewolf children, the Malfoy's chocolate room, and Draco's reaction to Hermione's and Harry's Animagus forms. But for the first time, except for the final cliffhanger, I didn't feel that this chapter took your story forward much. The whole contretemps with Remus was perhaps useful in establishing how completely hopeless Hermione is of ever getting a return of her feelings for Severus, but basically his actions throughout this seem needlessly and uncharacteristically cruel. You just don't tell a friend, no matter how young and misguided, that someone she loves and whose life she's just saved doesn't value her enough to have done the same for her. And I didn't really see the point of so much discussion of Molly's protectiveness and the other, Quidditch-related reasons for Ron's absence, unless it is setting up some major future event. I suppose the fact that he doesn't get another chance to see Mary may be significant, but otherwise I can't see the point. I'm not one who insists that Severus has to be in every chapter (and he looms over this one like an funereal pall, anyway), but you do seem to be artificially dragging out the time until they come to an understanding. Everyone who knows that she gave him her virginity seems to realize that she loves him and that she's unhappy because he doesn't love her (I include Minerva in this), so his continued obliviousness is getting a little old. (By the way, I'm glad you didn't include Minerva in the crowd that harassed Hermione upon her return, since it wouldn't have been believable that she acted so stupidly. But where has she been since? It almost seems as if she and Ginny are being kept away from Hermione to intensify the angst.) |

| Sometimes, you know, you are an inglorious tease. What with the cliffhangers and the vauge summerys for next week's chapter that always make me imagine some great confrontation and resolution and then the not actually having Snape in some chapters... but I think that's why I love you. Cause you've created something that is so much more than an ss/hg story. You've also created something akin to crack, because I swear sometimes I get jittery around Wednesday when update time is approaching... and I can never get enough. Haha.
On another note, I've been thinking about the moon more in the last month than I ever have, and a lot of that is cause of this story. Like... I knew that the moon moved across the sky, but I never really thought about it occuring during the day (despite having witnessed it) or how the actual full moon might not happen at night (speaking of which, how appropriate is it that this chapter comes with the full moon?) and all that stuff. It's a crazy thing, the moon. And your watch sounds cool. |

| Hi I really love this story. I just want to say that first. Now, while i worry about sofia i think we get it Hermione can cure lycanthropy. She been through three trials now. I'm just wondering where this nonrelationship with Severus is going because since their sexcapades we've seen nothing, but cruelness and while hermione keeps defending her feelings to her friends as reader i cant take much more of her in action with Severus or his towards her. Something has to give now or very soon. |

| My first thoughts regarding this chapter were: No, Sophia! And then I was thinking back to the background you gave on the children, and also to what you implied about Remus and Tonks. I may be getting things mixed up a bit, but isn't Sophia the one that has someone to care for her only so long as Hermione cures her? If that's the case, and she isn't cured this time, I want Remus to adopt the little angel that has the same color hair as he does. Do it do it do it! Come on, you know you want to. Fine, you know I want you to. That's enough, right?
Yet another conversation that I wish Severus would accidentally overhear. Why is that man never lurking around corners when it would be most convenient? Dammit. Ah well, I suppose I'll just have to endure more of your exccellent writing in the meantime and hope for the best. *sarcastic sigh*
And the moon watch really is cool. I can see Hermione having one of those if she didn't always seem to be aware of every little detail of every little thing. I could, however, see a graduating wolf give her one as a thank you present. Particularly as they wouldn't ever need to be careful of the moon's upcoming cycles, really.

| Wonderful update, I really liked this chapter. I for one liked the lack of Hermione/Severus interaction (and wonder if the author kicked our skins a little by pointing out that Hermione knows exactly what kind of person Severus are and really don't want to hear about or have any illusions over, what an utter scumbag he is all the time..:-)) ?) I get so mad at him that I enjoyed having a chapter where my bloodpreassure stayed at a normal level all the way to the end:-))
I had actually hoped for an extra chapter September 1st. It is a special day after all since school starts again. And, if I remember correctly there is an important birthday September 19th, that should give us an extra chapter that week (hint, hint, please, please:-))
As usual I am very much looking forward for the next update!!! |
