| Ooops, sorry, I've been getting a bit behind with reviews also. But I continue to love this story, and this chapter in particular was wonderful. Although snarky/nasty Snape is understandable (and definitely realistic), I really enjoy him when he's nicer to Hermione. And why is it that the only time they're not fighting is when one of them is asleep? Author's Response: LOL There's less opportunity to misunderstand one another when one of them is asleep. ;) I'm glad that you're still enjoying the fic and that you understand the snarky Severus even if you're longing for a nicer one. | The worst thing about Thursday is that point when I finish the chapter and realise I have to wait a whole week for the next one. However I like the way you've smoothly taken us from the first arc of who are the Pure Adults and how do they sleep with their intended straight into the second arc of the wards and preparing for the final battle with all the other arc framed nicely within that structure. I'm fairly shoddy at structure myself so I can appreciate when it's done well and smoothly. I like that Ron is back in the picture. Personally I don't like the propensity in fanfic of making Ron out of be this evil annoying person who is best gotten rid of as soon as possible. He does have character, some good some bad and I like that we get to see that.
And now I'm going to spend the rest of the day imagining I'm napping in Severus' office. :D Author's Response: I guess I'm glad that you're enjoying the chapters well enough to be anxious for the next even if I'm sorry that you're suffering through the waiting. ^_^ I appreciate hearing that you find the fic to be well-structured, balancing as it does between so many entwined plot points. I tend to get annoyed when Harry/Ron are dismissed out of hand in fanfic as well (which I find happens a lot when I read HG/SS); obviously, Harry is far more important in this fic than Ron, but I've tried to give believable reasons/behaviour to everyone, so that while Ron is gone, he's gone because it's in character not because I don't want him around. I've never seen him as evil and try to do my best to show his strengths along with his faults. We should all happily dream of napping in Severus's office, shouldn't we? | This story is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of reading, fan fiction or otherwise. Everything about it is flawless. It is the only one that I follow anymore and I can not even begin to describe the excitement I feel when I see a new chapter posted. Thank you. | Yay for a new chapter! Oh, I love this story. Thanks for the bit of compassion on Severus' part. Maybe he wasn't as angry with Hermione for the late-night healing as she expected? Well, at least I hope not. I'm glad that this story is going to last a while longer, I love it and don't want it to end. Hopefully Severus and Hermione can reach some sort of understanding soon, they both deserve some happiness about now. Anyway, great chapter, as always.

| This chapter was amazing. I'm going to have to read it again. I'm fascinated with your warding concept. I remember in HBP when Dumbledore put his hand on the door of the cave and knew that it needed blood to unlock it. I always wondered about that.
I also loved the interactions between Hermione and Severus. The way that Hermione was so tired that her brain wasn't functioning properly. I love the way Severus' demeanor instantly changed when he realized why she was tired and then carried her into his office. It showed that he still cares for her, even after this big mess.
I also want to give you a big THANK YOU for sharing this story with us. I can't imagine how much time you've put into this, and the only thing you get in return are reviews. Author's Response: I'm delighted that you enjoyed this chapter so much and have found the warding details to be interesting so far; in some ways, JKR's canon just scratched the surface on so many different concepts and fic-authors get the chance to explore in far greater depth. Many of the things that Albus was capable of doing in canon have intrigued me. ^_^ There are definitely moments where, cliché or not, actions speak louder than words, and Severus and Hermione get to have one of those moments in this chapter. Reviews are a lovely reward for my writing labour. ^_^ (Though I confess that I have considered sitting down and actually trying to work out how long it took me to write it versus how long it takes you guys to read it…. It will, of course, be a silly and sobering comparison, so I never really try. But I still love the reviews. :D ) Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^ | |||
