| Oh, the misunderstandings of those blindly in love...poor Severus f*cked up royally, and poor Hermione for having such a sad morning after. Also, loved the line about chucking the manual out the window as he seemed to have memorised it. Fantastic! | Ooff! That chapter was full of surprises and emotional upheavals (not sure if this is even a word) and not only for our heroes! Great read, waiting impatiently for next update. | Oh bloody hell, Severus! I would say he couldn't possibly be as dense as to think Hermione would use him like that, but, then again, I'm sure it's happened to him more than a few times. Lily, in particular, comes to mind. It's more than obvious that Severus fancies Hermione every bit as much as she fancies him, but he also has some serious issues with his appearance, which was hinted at when they were talking about Hermione's and his respective scars. I'd say those scars go much more than skin deep in Severus' case. Author's Response: LOL As you say, Severus has definite reasons for acting the way that he does (not to say that his reactions are right, well thought-out, or what we would necessarily wish for); more will be revealed later in fic, so I'm not going into details here. Sadly, psychological scars do indeed tend to leave rather awful marks. Thanks, as always, for the review. ^_^ | |||

| Aaargh! This chapter was exquisitely beautiful, you could definitely get a sense of just how Severus feels about Hermione, and he didn't even have to SAY anything.
Poor, poor Hermione the morning after though! *sigh* Severus can be such a douche sometimes, but he means well...probably only wants to protect his own burgeoning feelings for Hermione, but still...if he's such a great spy then why does he not see how Hermone feels about him?! ARGH. Haha, obviously I loved the chapter, I've become emotionally invested in this, and I teared up when Severus reacted the next morning :) Can't wait for next Thursday (please please pleeeease update before then or I'll suffer from withdrawals :( ). Love your work! Author's Response: *Beams* I'm delighted that you found the chapter beautiful. They can both be phenomenal risk-takers as well as shy, inhibited, vulnerable, and full of emotion hang-ups. | That was so delightfully (and accurately) awkward. I don't blame Severus, he's hurt and trying to protect himself. But wow, he can be such a jerk. Great chapter. | The mean, cruel, stupid, blind bastard! :) It's so obvious they fancy each other and they really go out of their way to be oblivious of it. :D It's exactly what one would expect of them, of course, so great job! I love this fic! Author's Response: LOL I'm glad you enjoyed it (in a completely infuriated way, of course). ;) Sitting down and having an honest to goodness heart-to-heart is fairly unlikely when Severus is involved (and even Hermione has limits to how foolhardy a Gryff she is). | Oh, oh...ouch. I can't even find words for how roiled up my stomach and emotions both are at this point. The tenderness of the consummation was just wonderful. If she'd had the five seconds more to get her lips on that scar before he remembered being 'used'! Ah, well, I must go find some properly ended fluff to settle my stomach and keep me from dwelling on this all week.
