Glad to see that Hermione made it back in one piece and is starting to get some stuff sorted out. It should be interesting to see if anyone other than Harry apoligizes for the way they acted. *sigh* Severus really needs to get his act together or her is going to completely lose her. Idiot man! Hopfully he will use their detention time to work some stuff out with her. He at least needs to thank her for saving him. I wonder if he now thinks it is her unicorn blood that saved him? What in the world is going on with Draco? He barely acknowledges her when she gets back and then growls at her for touching Harry. I really can't wait for a time when they can all relax and finally enjoy themselves without having to worry about everything else that is going on. Well I hope that RL keeps getting better. Keep up the great work and I can't wait for next week and the discussion of recent events it should be interesting!

Another wonderfully written chapter. I really enjoy reading your writing, I like the tone you give Hermione. I think it would be interesting to see something from Snape's POV... or to get some insight to what he's thinking... Ah, you know it's a good story when you find yourself wondering about what's going to happen at random times during the week. Keep up the great work.

Wow... I've been really enjoying this story and apparently interpreting Severus' actions very differently to a lot of reviewers! He didn't actually *try* to kill Hermione, he was exploding with every emotion under the sun and said, "I ought to kill you right now." From my point of view, it was one of those 'I'm either going to kiss you or kill you' moments of passion and I believe a lot of his emotion came from the fact that she put herself in the riskiest situation possible, facing Voldemort and could have died multiple times just for the sake of rescuing him. And, let's face it, Hermione's not really given him much hope that there would be any kissing going on - she practically told him she was boffing Viktor! If anyone had asked him, he'd probably have explained his actions as being down to the unicorn blood curse, but there's no doubt in my mind that he is totally in love with Hermione (how jealous can one man get... of every male that she's friends with!?) and he couldn't bear the idea of her being so cavalier with her own life. Plus, he had probably accepted that his life was over when Voldemort rumbled him, and that's a hard adjustment for anyone to come back from. So... this chapter! It's beginning to go without saying that I loved it :) I especially liked that it was a bit calmer and a kind of rest period after so much activity and intense emotional wrangling. Nice to feel that Hermione was able to take a break from everything and feel a bit more in control of herself, and I loved Flitwick (one of my canon faves!) being such good company :) Yet again, looking forward to next week! All best wishes that your holiday time will soon be here :)

Another good chapter. I feel the same as another reader who said they're excited for each new chapter but after reading it, feels unsatisfied. After all Severus has put her through, I can't help but feel depressed, angry, and disgusted. However, I understand why he gave her detention. For one thing, he has to "save face" because she did skip his class. It wouldn't do for the other students to know she skipped his class but didn't receive punishment. Also, it could be a way for him to get her alone with him for a while. He wanted to start it that night but now he has to wait a week. Good for Hermione! I have a feeling that Albus doesn't know Severus tried to kill her. If he does, he seems to be looking the other direction which is horrible. It will be interesting to see what her and Albus talk about. I also wonder if Severus is going to try to talk to her about this or not during detention. I have a bad feeling he may try to put the blame on her for his mistreatment of her all this time. I sure hope she tells him off big time. I will be thoroughly depressed and disappointed if at some point they don't clear the air between them. The misunderstandings have got to stop or I swear I'm going to get an ulcer! lol She had better not make it easy on him either. If he wants to salvage what's left (if anything) of their so-called friendship, his actions better speak WAY louder than words. I don't see how they can even have a friendship after what he's done and using his authority over her to get his way. I dont see even the possibility of a romantic relationship until some time after she's graduated. They need to be on equal footing and him being her teacher is not equal footing. He tends to abuse his position over her to get his way and to get away with hexing her nine ways to Sunday. I think she was too easy on Harry but I hope she's NOT easy at all on Severus or I may just stop reading. I don't know if I can take her forgiving him so easily anymore. It's just not right. She needs to have some respect for herself and not let him get off easy or he won't see the error of his ways. He needs to pay the consequences of what he's done. He's lost her trust since she wonders if he'd poison her pepper-up potion and she needs to convey that to him somehow. Trust is not easily come by once it's gone or damaged. I just want her to somehow show him how much damage and hurt he's caused. He needs to know exactly what he's done and claim full responsibility for his actions. I just hope she doesn't let him off easy. I try to tell myself it's just a fic but I can't help the emotions your writing brings out. I'm not so sure I like the emotional roller coaster I'm on. I know I'm not the only one. I just hope there's closure for us all coming soon. While I enjoy the story, I think we all need closure. :-)

I see that this is another "Oh Severus why must you be so t00berific *sigh*" week. Still very entertaining though. :D <3

I keep trying to tell myself that once this is all posted the ridiculously slow development between Snape and Hermione will be worth it and this isnt really a Harry/Draco story told from Hermione's POV but each chapter makes it more difficult. =/ That beign said, thank you for once again updating even through RL issues, it is appreciated.

I feel oddly disquieted after reading this chapter. SS's comparative silence is unnerving me. No apology, no recriminations- nothing. I do think Draco had better have a stellar reason for growling...such as an unfortunate side effect of the weresbane perhaps or a temporary absence of sense. I think he could be mad a HG as I note he hasn't said anything to her upon her return yet. I liked Flitwick's compassion and understanding, he seems lovely- rather like I would have hoped AD should have been. All in all, I found myself wanting more at the end of this chapter. Its funny I wake up on thursday morning excited at the prospect of more of this story and always finish the chapter unsatisfied. I daresay that will be the case until I have read the ending. It WILL be a happy ending right?...right? Thank you for another lovely chapter.

Wonderful update as usual! As I have said before; Thursdays have become my favourite day of the week due to your story! I loved that Harry actually punched Severus, somebody had to do it, that man was awfully locked into the mood of "me, me, me". If it did anything good remains to be seen, my oppinion of Severus wont improve easily after all he has done and how he has acted in this fic so far. While I do understand that Hermione migth deserve some punishment for running off, I am a bit at lost to why anyone thougth Severus should be allowed to give her detentions? She ran off due to him threathining/ trying to kill her, what was she supposed to do, wait around until he got a better aim? What is Severus punishment for trying to kill a student, or is that allowable at Hogwarths if the teacher in question have issues enough? Another thing; he does owe her more than one lifedebt, doesn't he? She saved him at Voldemorts lair, that is one, she also saved him from being killed by Castina, that is two, she hasn't killed him so far no matter how abmyssal his behavior has been, that should be lifedebt three, four and five in my oppinion. Hermione being human enough to get so hurt and tired that she just ran away actually made her look more human, she had a sure sigth at sainthood with regards to all that abuse she took without retailiating. I see that several reviewers think that Severus have reasons to be mad enough to kill her due to her use of unicorn blood to save his life. You haven't confirmed that was the reason for his anger, maybe it is, but honestly: That man have used any excuse possible for hurting and humiliating Hermione for the longest time, he migth use the unicorn blood as an excuse this time, but if she hadn't used unicornblood (if that is the reason), he would just have found another excuse, just as he always does. He must be mad as hell just by the thougth of her daring to show her self smart, honourable, gryffindor, female, in love, enough to dare save him from a situation where he wasn't able to save himself, neither would anyone else have managed to do so. It must smart him hard in his non-existing soul and heart that the mudblood Gryffindor sucsessed where everyone else would have failed. Severus, Victor, Albus and Remus can start an exclusive club of men wanting to plan and execute Hermiones demise due to her daring to not do as they tell her / want her to do, for daring to sucsess where they fails and not to mention for her having feelings at all that they can't control. I am quite sure that Voldibutt would give their club all his support and Draco can be an honourable member..... For me, I just have to look forward for next Thursday. I have gotten to read this weeks update (brilliant as always), have gotten the pleassure of ranting about useless men and what they ougth to do with their poor narrowminded heads (the one on top of their shoulders). Yup, a very good day indeed, if I now could only remove the days from Friday to Wedensday from the calender, my life would be close to perfect:-))
