Oh, ouch. >_<

Author's Response: Not the best time ever, no. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

oh my! i must say that this was fairly unexspected. gongrats on your part. i normaly can antisipate things better. this was a true suprize. and yay for Draco and Harry! *dous a little happy dance* now backe to Severus and Hermione... i must say that you wrote the itimet scenes nicely. i did not exspect things to progress so far in this chapter but it was written exstramly well with the right amount of tenderness. as well as some light hareted comedy. anyway i am eager to see where this is going do keep it up!

Author's Response: I'm glad to hear that you found the intimacy effective and a surprise in a good way (and that you liked the Harry/Draco parts). Thanks for taking the time to review. ^_^

Sex with Severus at this point was rather a surprise, but it was beautifully written - tender and funny at the same time. And how typical that Severus's insecurity would lead him to spoil it all at thend - he's learned nothing from the past at all. But if this gives him greater power, it's going to be interesting to see whether Voldemort can sense it. Severus may now be the one in danger.

Author's Response: I'm glad you found the scene tender and funny if unexpected. Severus has buttons that cause him to react in a pretty predictable way even if he should know better by this point. There are days where I think he has a maturity level that it about equal to Ron's. ;) Thanks, as always, far the review. ^_^

Wow. I didn't expected them to have sex so soon. I guess Severus tried to guard himself from emotions, but still such rejection day after sex is unworthy of Hermione. I can't wait next update to see what caused this reaction. I'm still puzzled why Hermione would sleep with Severus without telling him the truth if he is so eager to sleep with Pure Adult. Why would she lose her virginity so suddenly, even though she in past always tried to resist and have desire to sleep with him after telling him the truth. I think it was cowards decision. It is wonderful story as always. :) I wonder how they will get out of this situation . :) :)

Author's Response: Since this fic is all in Hermione's POV, I'm not going to comment on Severus's motivations specifically; what Hermione discovers in fic, you will discover as well (eventually). "Suddenly" is a relative term for losing her virginity. Although she didn't consciously go to Severus's rooms to lose her virginity, the idea of ceasing to be a Pure Adult has been a constant notion since the end of August. You're right that she's been fighting against doing so (and she's been quite fierce about it, too), but part of her belief in her stance is based on the fact that she and Harry are the ones at risk by remaining Pure Adults. Without identifying themselves, they've done their best to keep everyone safe. Severus has now been targeted by Voldemort, and Hermione feels the force of that; only the day before, she nursed him back to health for injuries that she sees as partially her fault (curing lycanthropy and Pure Adults). The decision not to tell Severus the truth of her feelings is, essentially, a cowardly one, but given that Severus has (to Hermione's mind) made it so clear that he is only sleeping with her because she's a Pure Adult, that's surely exactly the time that she *wouldn't* tell him the truth because that would only make it that much worse. She thinks she's just learnt definitively that he doesn't care for her, he's still the only person she wants to sleep with, and having sex with him now will help keep him safe. She does what she thinks is best, even if it's not what she would have wished for in an ideal world. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

I haven’t reviewed the story before but I absolutely love it! What happened in this chapter makes perfect sense to me. In my opinion, Severus still thinks that Hermione is in love with Harry but it will remain unrequited as he is gay and in love with Draco. Severus is sure that she could never have feelings for him, Severus (isn’t that so typical for him? *g* ) and that his only chance to ever spend a night with her is to accept her misunderstood "invitation”. But in the end he is still badly hurt by thinking that she took him only because no-one else was available, and that makes him lash out at her the next morning. He feels used, no matter what. Hermione on the other hand just knows that she can’t stay the only Pure Adult. Harry’s and Draco’s relationship out in the open would put her own “former” relationship with Harry into question and there would be people guessing that she is an Pure Adult. She also fears for Severus (what Voldemort would do to him). So she just has to act on it, there is no other way. I think they are both still very much in character, and it will still take some time for them to realize their feelings for each other. I’m looking forward to the rest of the story :-)

Author's Response: Thanks very much for taking the time to review now. I appreciate knowing that you think Severus and Hermione are still in character and their behaviour understandable. Their relationship will continue to evolve in fic, so I don't want to confirm or deny your understanding of their behaviour (beyond saying that working out what you see as reasonable motivations in the manner that you have is exactly what I hope my readers will do). Thanks again for taking the time to review. ^_^

Urrgh severus makes me so mad sometimes I want to box his ears! you have done an excellent job of filling out the characters and keeping them in character :)

Author's Response: LOL Would he be Severus if he *didn't* give you the urge to box his ears? I'm glad you find him (and others) in character. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

This was absolutely not what I expected! It seems I'm entirely naive. After last week's chapter I was convinced that she had ended up at Severus' quarters, and their friendship would cement as she shared the secret about Harry and Draco. It honestly never crossed my mind that they may go further! Even when I was reading the chapter I kept thinking "any minute now, Hermione will call a stop to it". I just had it so firmly in my head that she would have told him that he was "the one" before they got serious. She's been so set on not doing anything until after graduation that I had just accepted that. How wrong I was. And now, all evening long, this chapter has been playing on my mind. How crushing Serverus was; how I hope it's because he himself has been crushed by her. How sad to have Harry's happiness right in her face. What a chapter. Truly amazing, and utterly depressing. Please, have just a little light heartedness next week, I'm not sure I can take so much desolation.

Author's Response: The events being unexpected was pretty much the goal; Hermione didn't have that conscious intention when she went, but I think it was there subconsciously. Hermione's initial intention not to tell Severus until after graduation was based on a rather naive hope that she and Harry would still be Pure Adults, that Voldemort would be defeated, and that Hermione would finally be free to state her own feelings as she desired without other considerations. Instead, everything is shifting now, and she's done what she thinks she *should* do to make Severus and herself safe(r)--and given what she thinks Severus has said, it's also become the only occasion she thinks she has a chance with him. Thanks, as always, for taking the time to review. ^_^
