| This is the best Hogwarts-set fic I have read in a long time - excellent plot and characterisation. Though Hermione is being unconscionable thick about Severus's feelings, I suppose the plot depends on it. Much though I love Severus, his being an arse is well in character. Author's Response: I'm delighted that you think so highly of the fic. Hermione is definitely not being her usual perceptive self when it comes to Severus, but I think it's quite possible for very bright people to be very stupid in emotional situations (not that that's the only option, mind, but it works here). Part of it, therefore, is missing the boat (and drawing too many parallels between his often irrational behaviour to Harry--whom he does *not* like--and his behaviour to her), and part of it is not letting herself hope because then it would be *really* horrible if she were wrong (or so goes her convoluted logic). Severus being an arse is, as you say, canon. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. ^_^ | |||

| Woop! Bonus chapter! I came on today checking to see if another fic i follow had been updated and found this!
I totally understand the Dr Who.... mmmm David Tennant!
I guess it's going to take some time before Severus is able to stop just reacting and stop to realise and admit why he's reacting that way. Stupid man! If only he knew what he was missing! Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed the chapter (and that you agree about David Tennant, lol). Severus is not the most well-adjusted of individuals, and there are some things right in front of his nose that he just can't see (which really seems like a crack about its size, but it's not meant to be ;) ). | Cool to have a bonus chapter :D However, again, rennervate not ennervate: http://www.hp-lexicon.org/magic/spells/spells_r.html#rennervate Author's Response: Glad you're happy about the bonus chapter. Ennervate is one of those spots where I've dug my heels in and gotten stubborn; change spell names in the middle of a series and I get annoyed, I guess. ;) Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^ | |||
