| Dare I hope that the destination is a certain Potions Master's door? I loved the Valentine's "entrails" portion; that was a perfect Valentine's Gift for the 20th of May. Thanks for another lovely chapter (did I hear there would be 40 more chapters? Huzzah! Though that does seem to be a lot to write...if you get carpal tunnel, I hear chocolate and a good movie work wonders. lol). I can't wait until next Thursday! You seem to have a talent for the evil cliffhangers... :o)
~SK824~ Author's Response: You may certainly hope. ;) I'm glad you enjoyed the "entrails"; I don't think it was even February when I was writing that bit the first time, but I enjoyed it anyway. :D You did indeed hear right about the number of chapters, and they are being edited rather than written this time around, so you are probably safe on the carpal tunnel front. | YOUR KILLIN ME!! LOL Please tell me she's knocking on Severus' door! Please! I feel so bad for them both every time they get close and then their wires cross! Oh, the frustration! lol Is it next Thursday yet???... Can you be bribed? How about.... hugs for chapters! LOL or... Chocolate for extra chapters! I live in San Francisco! Home of Ghirardelli Chocolate, so I can easily get my hands on the good stuff!! Author's Response: LOL I won't tell you, but you'll find out soon. ;) The wires crossing is pretty standard when it comes to Severus, and frustration is definitely a fixed part of dealing with him, too, lol. | First of all, my favorite phrase of the chapter: "...the Valentine's Day entrails all over the walls," was absolutely inspired. I really liked this chapter, and I hope with all I've got that it's Severus' door where Hermione's knocking! | Simply lovely, as always. The tentative sort of friendship (if you can call it that) forming between Hermione and Pansy is nice to see, as is a happy Remus/Tonks - and Severus' reactions to them. I also loved Hermione's interactions with the castle, of course. If I have anything even resembling a problem with this story, it's that the chapters are so long and full and entrancing, that I sometimes forget how great the beginning is. Not that I would want shorter chapters by any means! But the interactions between wounded Snape and Hermione were perfect, with just the right amounts of reluctance and vulnerability and tenderness.
I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment, hoping that Hermione and Severus can have a pleasant Valentine's evening together!
Author's Response: Thank you. It seems to be so canon for the most part that Slytherins and Gryffindors don't mix at all (unless they're fighting, of course); I find it much more interesting to see them get involved and to not always have it be romantically. What *is* Pansy like and how would she relate to Hermione? And I have lots and lots of words in which to explore all this. ;) I'm glad you enjoyed all the happy interactions (it has to happen sometimes!) LOL--I'll blame you if I have any short chapters in future. :D I'm glad you enjoyed the HG/SS interaction, too. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^ | |||

| Lovely chapter. And in response to your last reply, I do realize there's another 40 chapters so things can't possibly just be smooth sailing from here on out. I am left wondering what Hermione will say to explain her presence after the earlier attempt to help Severus remain oblivious to the Harry & Draco reality. Next week! Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. As you say, smooth sailing would be much too boring for the next 40 chapters (no matter what the poor characters think).
