| Wonderful update! I am glad that Severus wasn't to blame for the obliviate of Hermione, I really didn't need another reason for disliking him. While I most sincerely hope that Hermione got it wrong in her assumptions that Severus used her as a tool to get some petty revenge on Harry, I can very easily see why she reached that conclution. Severus have carried a insane hate for Harry for so many years, and considering the madness of a grown man hating a child based on who his father is, a father said child have never known, it is easy to se Severus take his inane hate a step further. So much of what he has said and done goes back to his hate for Harry, if it had been any other man than "Severus with issues" I bet most would have demanded a long stay at St.Mungos fourth floor for him. It does surprise me how many who now blaims Hermione for not being considerate of "poor Severus issues, because every fool can see how much he loves her by the way he is hurting her" , I just don't see why Severus behaviour should be acceptable just because he is Severus. He is among my favourite characters in the HP world, and I will never forgive JKR for killing him off, but I honestly don't see why Hermione (or Harry) should in any way pay the price for sins committed by Severus and others years before they were even born? I will admit that it makes good plots though:-)) |

| Lovely, as always. I was impressed with the resolution of Hermione's mental lapse-- I thought of a memory charm after the cliffhanger last week, but it seemed impossible that anyone would be able to cast one on her-- being the superhero she is. So, of course, the only person strong enough to Obliviate Hermione is, in fact, Hermione. I like it.--- You know, for the first time in their relationship, I think Hermione is the most to blame for a misunderstanding. One in which Severus really shouldn't misunderstand anything; after all, he ought to be aware of his own motivations (though I really wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't...) and thus.. he should.. hopefully attempt to clear it up. Which if I'm reading you right, he's doing right now, isn't he? The mousse. It was from him, not the house elves, right? I hope so, cause if it was that's super cute. And... you know, he's really not being that much of a dick. Growing as a character, hooray!
----The promise of mousse for next week makes me a little more sure of my prediction. I hope the inevitable is the good kind of inevitable. It seems like it's about time for it, though. They've very nearly talked about their feelings twice now, it has to be soon... lovely, lovely, lovely chapter that dispite the angst has me hopeful |
