| YES!!! I was so excited at the start of this chapter, I was vibrating with the speed of a nuclear-powered pleasure toy. I'm so happy for Remus. And I have to tell you, I laughed really loudly when I read that Severus said "You cured lycanthropy as your bonus project"- that was the best line ever. I can so see, erm, hear him "flatly" saying that. Great job. Author's Response: LMAO. | Yay! Well, I've been proven wrong - the cure did work! I could feel Remus' emotion when he realized that he had become human again.. I must admit that I shed a tear.. or five.. and when he ran outside to look at the moon? The dam finally broke.. I'm so excited for all of them.. it must be wonderful to be free of such a curse! As usual, I can't wait for the next update :) Author's Response: I'm glad you found that what I'd written was so emotional. It was definitely a huge moment for Remus. | This is wonderful. So has Draco figured it out yet? I can't imagine Albus is going to ignore her quite so much, afterall this is the second big secret she has managed to keep from him. If he picks up on things, will he try to throe them together? Author's Response: Hermione thinks Draco has probably worked it out, and that's all I'll say about that. ;) Albus always has many plans. | I don't always stop to review, but seeing new chapters posted has been a high point of my week for the last month (when I broke down and started reading, instead of waiting for this to be completed first). | You know, I think I quite enjoy getting very samll amounts of Severus now! The whole detention/tea scene was lovely, and it made a good intermission from the main part of the chapter. It's good that Hermione's world doesn't resolve around her "mate", and it makes it more interesting for us to have to wait. I loved Remus' reaction to the new wolf inside him, and I thought it was very fitting for his canon character. I admit I hadn't anticipated that you'd fit Harry's animagus into this chapter too, so that came as a real bonus. I thought the parrot assumption was just perfect, as well as Harry's not too reluctant acceptance that whatever will be, will be. He makes a fantastic phoenix though, and I was surprised by your note that some people hadn't wanted him to be one. In this setting, I honestly think a phoenix is hands down the best magical beast for him to be - it represents purity and innocence, just like Harry, but with that fiery passion that clearly sets him apart from Hermione and the unicorns. I think it was a brilliant choice. Looking forward to next week! Author's Response: *giggle* Maybe I'm trying to ween the addicted HG/SS people off of Severus? (But no, not really.) There's so much going on with Hermione's life right now that much as she might like to concentrate solely on Severus, she simply can't. Harry has learnt to be pragmatic the hard way, poor dear, but sometimes that just means he gets awesome surprises. :D I'm glad to hear the phoenix worked so well for you. | another excellent chapter! well done! one nit-picky note- wolves don't wag their tails (it's fiction, so you can get away with it), but true wolves, while using their tails for communication, don't actually wag. :) (my career once again rears it's head) Author's Response: And that's what I get for using wikipedia, I guess. ;) I don't know a lot about wolves, so I wikied the topic first, and according to their article on wolves, they can wag their tails when happy, so that's how it wound up in fic. I will try to keep the non-wagging in mind for future. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^ | |||
