| Ok, that one was A LOT better than the Prologue. Really. Altought I don't feel like buying the Pure Adult idea wholly. Well, I'll read more. Who knows what may happen to my mind then? Author's Response: I'm glad that you found this chapter more engaging. The notion of Pure Adults is sort of ludicrous, a variation of the standard "magical coming of age" cliché that you either accept as possible or not. | So, I've just read the prologue. Really, I must tell you that I don't think this is a good one. Even with a cliffhanger-like end, I didn't find the minimum interest in it. It's plain boring to me. Maybe, if the last part was written a little more slowly and deeply, I could have found it worthy of praise. As it isn't, I won't do it.
I'm sorry if you feel offended by my opinion in any way. It's not my intent. I'm just trying to do constructive criticism. Hope you agree with me.
Going to chapter one. Author's Response: I appreciate honest opinions; I find that often, people who don't like this prologue also didn't like the first chapter of GoF and/or HBP. I happened to enjoy both of them, which is perhaps why this style of prologue works for me. Responses have indeed been mixed, and I continue to take people's opinions under advisement. | Woot! Interesting plan - a much better one than what JKR turned up. I like this whole wards bit you've added. And I very much like that Severus is teetering on some real displays of affection! Letting her sleep, being concerned for her health and well-being, worrying about her nights in the forbidden forest...good for him. I hope he keeps it up and that maybe we'll get to see them using their magic to work together...they're mated and he's got all kinds of power from having taken her virginity, right? So there should be some spectacular magic between them. Author's Response: LOL Well, my goal was to come up with something that JKR had not done, since I didn't want to be doing "horcruxes point two" or anything like that. I'm glad that you're finding it interesting and that you're enjoying Severus's behaviour (or almost enjoying it, lol). | Whether you view this as two separate chapters or one really really long one, either way you're onto a winner! I was thrilled; I was itching to get home to read the next chapter, and I got an unexpected bonus on top! But - damn you, woman! You put Severus and Hermione together twice for a conversation and not once was there any mention of snogging or such! I was desperate to interpret Severus's "We're going to have a little conversation" as "We're going to have a little shag" but alas! It was not to be. Still, I'm sure (or rather, I hope rather fervently) that their time will come. I missed Viktor, so I'm intrigued to see that he features in the next chapter. Here's hoping it's Severus who overhears them (although, what he's going to overhear is a mystery to me. I just like any excuse for him to be in a scene). I love the way this wards plot is developing. I was curious when Solace's journals first came on the scene; I initially thought they might provide a small answer to some unknown question further down the line, but now it seems that they will play a much bigger role. I can't wait to see how it all plays out (I know I say this a lot). Final note: I failed in my promise to save new chapters for Friday. I just can't stay away, even for 24 hours. Loved it loved it loved it! I eagerly await the next installment. Author's Response: I'm delighted that you enjoyed the (uber)chapter so much. I'm afraid that if you're going to be looking for snogging or shagging every time that Hermione and Severus wind up in a room together, you're probably going to be disappointed, lol. ;) (On the other hand, you've probably learnt to live with disappointment on that front by now, right?) But it's good that you're continuing to fervently hope. :D I'm glad that you're looking forward to Viktor's increased presence in the next chapter as well as the continuing development of the wards and Solace's journals. *grins* I'm flattered that you can't wait to read the new chapters. | Thanks again for another brilliant chapter. You could publish and sell this! (Apart from the copyright infringement, of course). Definitely up there with the best-written and most epic fanfics I've read. And it's good to see Severus is being a bit less of a bastard.
