| As much as I can look at chapter numbers and know it's not happening, on first read, I had fun wondering if Hermione's mental shout left enough connection behind for Castina to talk to Severus. Would she express wonder & disgust that he managed to be a unicorn's mate first or be too busy castigating him for threatening violence to his mate and her herd member? Second read allowed me to really notice the summoned wand and remember all the lectures about not ever transforming to Animagi form without your wand on you - eek! Looking forward to next week.
Sadly, I still find it all too believable that they continue to miss the clues of each other's feelings, absorbed as they are in war duties and convinced as they are of the other's hatred. For all the desire to yell, Albus should have told Pomfrey to let Hermione sit with Severus. I suspect twice waking to know she'd saved his life but left without his knowledge/speaking is the true source of his rage. I'm sure no one told him she'd wanted to be there when he woke/tried to stay with him as he slept. |

| Actually this is first Review for a fanfiction I've ever written. Because Iam a little bit shy about my english skills.
I've been into fanfiction nearly 10 years so I've read a lot, but this ff is the best one I've ever read. You're pictureing the characters as authentic as I never thought it possible. Your creativy as well as your knowlege of the HP-universe makes me wonder if you're J.K Rowling herself. We all know, that this coud not be reality but I dont care.
Im currently thinking, that you should let Hermione and Severus die at the end of the story. I know it'll be a bit shocking for most of the readers but I think that this would fit a lot in the whole concept of your story. I just can't imagine a "happily ever after" ending for them. Please don't get me wrong I enjoy fluffy fanfiction as well but I currently can't think about an happy ending for them that would fit. I trust that you'll find a solution for this little problem.

| It is possibly the best story that I have ever read! The reactions are very human - I fully expected Severus to react the way he did. My world is revolving around Thursdays, I'm on the edge to read the next chapter! :) |

| I actually cried at the end.... that's a new height you've brought me to - I've never cried for fan fiction before! The story is progressing marvelously but I noticed there are more mistakes that I'm used to and some unclear passages. For instance - it was very confusing because it wasn't mentioned that Voldemort was in that cell torturing Severus - I thought it was seven Death Eaters. But later it becomes clear that he was there - that is a sort of goof I'm not accustomed to in this story. And this brings me to another point. Somebody reviewed your previous chapter and said that Hermione is being a little too much of a Mary Sue. I didn't agree at first but when she actually stuns Voldemort and leaves him lying in a dungeon without even acknowledging what she did - as though it's logical - then it becomes a little too much for me, too. I understand this is not the best of time to start criticizing, as I always read your disclaimers and introductions to chapters but i hope you don't take this review badly - I still gave the chapter a 10, because the story really deserves it. I understand you might not be able to recheck and correct now but if you ever go back to this story and decide to revise it, this might come in useful. Even if the following chapters won't be as great as the first ones, I'll still wait impatiently for every Thursday and enjoy it tremendously. You're a great author! |

| Ok, firstly please accept my sincere apologies for not having reviewed the last few chapters, it is shockingly bad form on my part. My only excuse is that real life unfortunately caught up with me the last few weeks! Suffice it to say that I have thought that they were all brilliant and up to your usual standard. Now, on to this chapter...wow. I think my favourite bit was when HG walked in on the Mafoys behaving like human beings, their gratitude for her saving DM was palpable. It is interesting that gratitude for Hermione's kindness/loyalty comes from the least expected sources. I would have hoped that one of her friends would have proved to be a true friend and offered her support- alas no. SS's anger I can sort of comprehend, not to the point he wants to kill her, but I can understand that he thinks she has cursed him in a far worse way than the curse of his life under Voldemort. I am entirely sympathetic to her 'stay away from me', she needs some time I think, hopefully there will be some grovelling from many different quarters by the time she goes back to Hogwarts. Again, I am deeply disappointed that once again SS attributes the worst of motives to her actions, I can't help but wonder if (in the increasingly unlikely event of them getting together) if their love will always be so unbalanced, will it always be HG giving more than she receives or will all these trials now mean they are stronger later on? SS should be willing to die for her, not kill her, perhaps that could change. To the (idiot) reviewer who took it upon themselves to criticise your reference points for author notes, I personally find them very useful. Also, constructive criticism does not contain the words 'hate loathe and detest' as it moves the comment out of the realms of helpfulness and into the world of opinion. Basically, thank you so much for taking the time to write another brilliant chapter, I look forward to next Thursday. :) |

| Bloody hell! I feel out of breath from all that action and emotion and.... I feel like I need a lie down to recover!
God dammit Severus why can't you just have a good initial reaction just once in your life. JUST ONCE! Gah! Can you arrange for next Thursday to come sooner please? Because I'm not sure I can wait. |

| Ahhh God!! I can hardly stand Hermione's pain. It's so palpable. Everything she does for everyone else and she gets nothing in return. I just have to say I hate your plot bunny. I love your story but there is only so much angst one poor person can take without their heart falling out. Thanks for the update. Can't wait for more and to see where we are going from here. Somewhere good I hope. |

| Wow. Bloody hell people! Give the girl a break. How about a "thank you for saving Severus who is invaluable to the Order and the defeat of Voldemort".
Hmm, well now Severus knows her animagus form.
I bet Lucius would thank her for saving Severus and getting rid of his connection to Voldemort.
Can't wait for Hermione continuing to go it alone next chapter. |
