| First off, you resolved the burning out and dying thing in a way I didn't really see coming but probably should have. I mean, I predicted the Castina thing (or rather that she would help, not the extent to which she did--and by the way, teardrops) but the wards part of it? Didn't guess that. And I love being surprised so good on you. The whole "afterlife" idea you crafted is fantastic. I mean, even with it not really being an afterlife per se. I recently had a discussion about interesting portrayals of heaven in literature, and I wish I could have brought this up. The whole time is relative, especially without a frame of refrence thing and the seeing without having eyes... really insane concepts that I think you capture quite nicely. The whole first section tickled my literature bone. And my philosohpy bone. Your Hermione is very philosophical and I love that about her. The waking up voyers scene was absolutely adorable. It made me giggle. Lovely lovely chapter and I am so sad to be so near the end, yet so happy everything is finally pretty much resolved. Merry Christmas from Spartanburg, SC (or Rome, GA... | Oh Dearest. I don't believe I've written a review yet (maybe I have..) but I have been following this story for quite some time now. I am thoroughly enjoying it, and do not wish to see an end, but alas, with every great story, there comes a great ending. I am very much looking forward to an Epilogue, and will be checking constantly to see when it comes. You should be very, very proud about what you have written - a captivating, edge-of-your-seat story. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and please feel free to sticker me up there!! | I am impressed, not only by the length and quality of your writing, but by an achievement not to be found in any of the several hundred other SSHG stories I have read over the past couple of years. You created a story around an instance of Hermione Granger who seems PERILOUSLY close to being the ultimate, invincible wish-fulfillment Mary Sue, yet you managed to find enough interesting and dangerous challenges for her to overcome that the story not only works, it's GREAT!!! I almost wonder if you read the warnings in the SH guidelines for new authors, decided /you'd show them/, rolled-up your sleeves, and produced a high-grade fanfic of proportions the word "epic" is woefully inadequate to describe. | Love this story beyond words. i am so sorry it is ending. I wish it could go on indefinitely. I love this incarnation of Hermione and Severus and would love to follow them through their lives.
