It's really and truly very heartfelt wonderful that they are back on speaking terms. Though I am also very astonished that it's working quite as easily. But never mind, it's immensely refreshing to have a civil and approachable Severus back in this story. Thanks for this chap - I'm very much looking forward to the near future ;) |

In 'Fantastic Beast & Where To Find Them' by Newt Scamander, on pages 23 & 24 it is observed that the Loch Ness monster is a Kelpie.
One should think that our Know-It-All would've come across that little bit of information. (^.^) |

| < Gets cake and candles out ready for HG's birthday >. I read this chapter full of happiness for the amount of SS/HG interaction was in it. I love the fact that a truce has been called- in fact, it is more than a truce, it is more of a peace treaty I think. Your characterization of Hermione in this chapter was spot on, especially the way she went blundering in forgetting that SS is a wizard and offering to catch wrong doers for him. His patience in this chapter came as a complete surprise for me- particularly given how little he has displayed in the rest of the story. I make no attempt to guess what SS is thinking in this chapter, but I could plead shamelessly (dignity is overrated) for a few excerpts from his P.O.V when the story is finished? Not that you have to of course, but I think it would be fascinating reading. I am sorry to read that your RL has been tough for you this week (it is always worse when it is unexpected, I find) and hope you enjoy your days off. Thanks for such a relieving chapter!!!! |

| SSSQQQEEEE!!!!! Brilliant! LOL! I loved everything about this chapter. Severus was spot on, Hermione stood her grownd just enough... I hope we get to see more, MUCH more, of this Severus. I had the biggest smile on my face after I read the last line! Now I'm just going to go crazy until next Thursday! Really I swear! LOL *hugs* |

| YAY... reading this chapter felt like making a breakthrough. I'm so happy he's back in the picture! They have a lot to work out though, but I hope to see him do better, and for her to finally get her feelings out. Alas! Can't wait for more :) |

| They finally speak! However, my thoughts echo those of Sampdoria in her review. I find it to be quite an emotional whiplash for Hermione to think things are "back on track" after a few pots of tea & some measured, reasonable conversation. Severus has been quite mentally abusive towards Hermione, insinuating she a whore (re Vikor), the increasingly harsh training situations and the situation in the woods where she felt as if she was in physical danger from Severus. You spent several chapters showing Severus as quite a bastard and creating the tension-filled relationship between them and, after only a few conversations, Hermione feels more at ease. Severus really needs to not be let off the hook so easily and he should have to walk a long road to earn Hermione's feelings of trust and friendship. |

I've been following this story for awhile now and am just now getting around to submitting a review. This chapter was very adorable, and I'm glad Severus and Hermione are talking again.
