| Hullo, I've started reading your fic not long ago, and while I admire your style and love your story(haha), I'd like to ask you one question: when will Hermione and Severus talk?It's been 6 chapters already since things went awry and I'd like to see a tiny bit of progress between the two of them...I don't mean they have to become all lovey-ho but to have at least a nebulos conversation to understand why Snape is acting a git...pweese?Hope to find more of the plot in the next chap...good work^_^ Author's Response: LOL I know my readers are anxious for resolution between Hermione and Severus. I agree that it is desirable. I agree that sitting down and hashing out their problems is what they need to do. The sticking point comes with whether it is likely that the characters would actually *try* to resolve their problems at this point. Both Hermione and Severus think that they're very clear on what the other person thinks about them. Severus rarely discusses anything with anyone, and Hermione doesn't want to humiliate herself further or risk point loss and detention for something that she logically thinks is doomed. Both of them are very stubborn, so progress is slow; that doesn't mean it won't happen eventually. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. ^_^ | |||

| oh, thank god you finally updated! i've been going bonkers waiting for this chapter to be loaded... i think i checked the site at least 5 times today alone. once again, a well written and fast-paced chapter. bravo, bravo. (wow, did that sound fan-girl or what?). | Woohoo, I'm back in the saddle again! Well that chapter was certainly worth the extra few days' waiting (in response to my last review: Thanks for the well wishing, I did have lots of fun in my Internet-free week. I got to see the lovely coastline of Alaska! Absolutely gorgeous...). Ron's back in action, and I'm so glad he wasn't pigheaded enough to withstand Viktor's lambasting; things never seem right when the trio isn't complete. Oh, and Hermione literally blowing up at Snape is a very exciting segue into the next chapter...which is coming up sometime in the near future? Huzzah! This will be the best week ever! | Oh!! Severus so deserves whatever he has coming to him! Did he think she'd admit to everyone that he was involved!? It's high time he gets put in his place. I can't wait to see how Remus and Tonks take the news, I thought what Remus said was so sweet though. It was interesting to have Ron back in the mix... I'm interested to see how that'll progress. You've brought him back in a very realistic way. I can totally see all that happening. I thought the bit with Krum and Ron was funny- good job! And oh boy, another chapter?! YAY!!! Can't wait, really really can't wait this time... cliffhanger! Author's Response: LOL So many bloodthirsty reviewers at the end of this chapter. ;) I'm glad you're looking forward to what's coming up next and that you enjoyed Remus, Ron, and Viktor. As I see it, Ron is the type to back himself into a corner and refuse to see it; but eventually, even he wants to get out of it and can swallow his pride enough to do so. | I'm jumping around a bit in my reviews here, but this just occurred to me... Casting that cruciatus was a serious miscalculation on Severus' part, either of the new extent of his powers or of the wisdom of using such a spell against Hermione. I wonder if part of his reaction (and his whole disgusting attitude in general) is due to him perceiving himself to be in greater danger since sleeping with Hermione. If Voldemort were ever to find out that he'd known who one of the Pure Adults was and had kept her to himself rather than bringing her to his "master", it would likely spell Severus' demise in a number of dramatically unpleasant ways... Just a thought. I do hope his motivations will be fully revealed in the near future? This was a great chapter, I'm intrigued by Hermione's discoveries in the library and can't wait for more! More reviews on the way... Author's Response: Without giving too much away (since I don't want to reveal what's going on in Severus's head before it gets revealed in fic), I would suggest that it's largely the former; the wisdom of using such a spell on Hermione is definitely nil and Severus in his right mind definitely knows that. Voldemort finding out about what Severus has done would indeed be a Very Bad Occurrence. Near future might be a bit of a stretch, but Severus's motivations will indeed be revealed. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter and are intrigued by what was revealed in the library. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^ | |||

| I'm such a nerd... I even googled Harry Potter character birthdays, hoping that Dobby's (for he is the only one credited with a June date!) might bring a new chapter! I like your author responses almost as much as I love the story itself - and I'm shocked that you're not as keen writing the battle/fight scenes, simply because they are so damn good! Seeing as it's been a few chapters since my last review, I'll say - thank you for bringing Ron back into the fold in a very canon way (especially liked referencing his falling out with Harry in the books to illustrate that), for bringing Viktor into the mix to stir up Severus and give Hermione some nice attention, and, of course, for continuing to make Severus the intensely frustrating, emotionally retarded complex darling we all love ;) In case you hadn't guessed... I'm very much looking forward to the new chapter! Author's Response: LOL You are in good company with an author-nerd so don't worry about it. ;) The bonus chapters can't always be attributed to HP birthdays, just some of the time. :P It's still lovely to hear that you like the battle/fight scenes so much, and I'm pleased that you enjoyed the return of Ron and the appearance of Viktor--along with the annoying Severus, lol. | Whew! Let me catch my breath... This is another of my favourite chapters and is easily one of your best, imho. ^.^ The pacing is wonderful, the plot intense (if not so easy on the heart) and the dialogue witty and funny. I really enjoyed it! Draco's reaction to the arrival of the unicorns was definitely one of the highlights. Author's Response: I'm glad to hear that you like this chapter so much. It was one of those ones that had been in my head for a long time, and actually getting it out the way that I wanted was a struggle. So it's lovely to hear that so much of it worked for you--including Draco's confusion about the sudden appearance of the unicorns, lol. Thanks again for the review. ^_^ | |||

| I'm kind of glad that Hermione lost control (well, as long as she didn't hurt Severus too badly). I think he had it coming. And hooray for bonus chapters!
