| Really enjoying this story! For some reason, the part that stuck with me after reading the first few chapters was your description of Harry and Hermione's quarters--it would have been so easy to cross the line and give too many details, but you kept it interesting enough that I wasn't once tempted to scroll through to get back to the action. Kudos! Author's Response: It's great to hear that it worked for you. Hermione and Harry spend a lot of time in their rooms, and as the story progresses, they discuss more and more sensitive information there. I wanted to establish up front what they'd done to protect themselves and let you know what their environment was like, since this is one of the only "new" areas thus far in fic, as opposed to all the parts of the castle we know from canon. | This is going really well, but as the field narrows, it's going to take all Hermione's ingenuity to preserve her and Harry's secret - I look forward to seeing how she'll manage it. Not sure about the unicorns - it was a well-written segment, but does it have anything to do with the plot? Author's Response: Hermione's definitely got her work cut out for her, but she's a clever cookie ^_^ . The unicorns are indeed very important to the plot, as will become clearer as the story progresses. Thanks again for reviewing. | |||

| I can see what some of the other reviewers are saying about her being a bit of a mary sue ...BUT I personly love the bit about how if your a pure adult you get a special animangus I think it is very cool ..The thing I noticed and I couldn't even put my finger on it at first I had to think about it for a while ..they keep saying to (Perfect )but what if it s not that. What if the problem is she's to grown up to mature for her age ? I was painfully immature in some ways and very grown up in others when I was around this age also she has NO self doubt even adults doubt them selves and have down right fear of romantic rejection Hermione is a book worm she has had trouble getting her friends to see her as a girl I think that would make her feel akward and insecure plus MOST girls look in the mirror and see only there flaws. I'm trying to be helpful not hurtful i refuse to read storys that suck and this one is good I look forward to every chapter please don't get discouraged . Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to respond and think about this, Vinca. Hermione is definitely very mature, and that's deliberate on my part; it might turn out that there are a number of you who can't believe that a nineteen-year-old could *ever* be this mature, but I'm committed to her being the way that she is at this point; I've met some awfully mature young people (as well as some very immature ones), and I think people like Hermione and Harry have been through some very strange and horrible things that can shape them in these sorts of ways. Although it may not be clear yet because we haven't really gotten into the romantic aspects yet, Hermione has *plenty* of doubts on that front. She believes in the things that she's researched, and she has plenty of precedent for coming up with a plan and getting Harry to go along with it. That confidence is the one that is mostly being seen in these early chapters. Thanks again for reviewing ^_^ | |||
