This gives me hope! In everything, even before he knew about the unicorn blood not being cursed- his top objection to HG's rescue is that Hermione's safety was at stake. I also remember that he helped to find her using blood magic without knowing the truth and I don't think it was so he could go through with his threat. In light of this, aside from the minor blip of threatening her life, in his own way he has been rather trusting of Hermione I think. I was so glad when Fawkes demonstrated his forgiveness and hope Castina patches things up with Hermione soon. I half hope that the wish HG felt to transform was her herd mare calling her to the forest, as she did the first time.
Thank you for another lovely chapter, I am glad things look like they will be settling down in RL for you. I am looking forward to reading these 'frank discussions' next week and HOPING that SS and HG will be having one...without dire threats and curses. |

| One more observation. I am surprised that the topic of Harry and Hermione being special animagi did not come up. Did Severus tell anyone ? Did Albus guess when he came to welcome Hermione back in the forest ? Since it is such a rare occurance to transform into magical creatures, I thought that it would cause more discussion. I am waiting for Draco's reaction though :) |

| I think it's pretty wonderful that you have so much going on irl, but you're still managing to keep up with the posting schedule and maintaining the quality of the story! As always, I'm eagerly anticipating your next addition. |

| At least Severus behaved himself. But that’s with others present. It will be very interesting to see how he behaves once he’s alone with her. I can’t help but wonder if he’ll be civil to her now or continue to be an arse. Probably a bit of both. I’m not expecting him to become wonderful over night but he does owe her big time. Now that he has some answers, he has a lot to think about. Hopefully it will turn his thinking around for once. Let’s also not forget that she’s young and inexperienced. Inexperience can lead to stupid mistakes. Wisdom comes from learning from those mistakes. So it takes time to become wise. Adults make stupid mistakes all the time. I don’t expect her to be perfect and to be so mature all the time. She’s young so I believe she’s allowed to make mistakes and to act accordingly. Especially when it comes to matters of the heart. However, I don’t expect her to be a doormat for him time and time again. She’ll never be happy living that way. So Severus has to make some sort of amends or attempt to anyway before they can even become friends again. I REALLY hope that in the next chapter she gives him a piece of her mind and not take the blame for everything that’s been going on. It seems she feels somewhat responsible for his being tortured. I hope she doesn’t try to take all the blame, though. I know if I were her, I’d be seriously depressed by now. She’s holding up pretty good considering all the pressure and everything that’s going on. I don’t know about Hermione, but it’s going to take a LOT to restore my faith in Severus. It’s still a great story and you’re a great writer. I’m just tired of the misunderstandings. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one, though. :)

| HA! I was right about the unicorn blood! (does happy dance). Now Hermione and Severus have to clear the air between the two of them. I am holding out for 'friendly' detentions for Hermione, wherein they actually comunicate with each other rather than all the assumptions and posturing they have been doing. In order for them to have a breakthrough they both need to stop letting their pride stand in their own way. The U2 song, Pride(In The Name Of Love), could well be the theme song for your Hermione and Severus. It's about time that she stops keeping so many secrets and he stops letting his temper and jelousy get the better of him. |

| Gasp! Severus discovering his higher brain functions and actually doing some thinking? Say it isn't so! (Hint: that's sarcasm :D) Of course, if he was always going to act like that, one imagines this would be tagged as Angst, which it isn't, but he sure has been leading us on, the little tease. I should have posted at the relevant chapter but Hermione's moment post shapeshifting with the dress and the glow and all had me in tears of laughter. That was hilarious, well done. Looking forward to Draco's reaction next chapter as well. Holding a little hope those two can't resist a bit of showmanship in front of the audience, I'd rather like the mental image of Malfoy Junior with his jaw hanging open in utter shock. I'm horrible :D Hope your Real World problems are going as well as they can, your review backlog is looking quite horrifying. |
