| This was an excellent chapter. I'm totally on board with this development in Hermione standing up for herself and saying "no," first to Remus and now to Severus. I think that Hermione sort of started out this story as a do-gooder-people-pleasing mess; but I've always had the impression that everything she does is meant to make someone happy, and she's almost unable to resist that kind of an opportunity- to her own detriment. She's sort of a martyr, but I've seen that as a lack of true self confidence. I think it really shows that she's growing as a person to set boundaries for herself against both Remus, who presumably cares about her, and Severus, who seems to despise her. Even if she hasn't quite learned when to set boundaries, it's good to know that she can. I think this puts her on a more equal level with Severus, and I would be delighted if she made him beg for the conversation. (Of course, I do not wish to wait- I'm eager for the conversation, but I think it's perfectly justifiable.) It would be so cute to have their "talk" on her character's birthday! Great, great job on this. |

| Very definitely a two-part chapter, though I guess the title would work for both parts, given how childish both Severus and Hermione are being. The baby werewolves were delightfully engaging, especially Sophia and her insight into Tonks and Remus. I'm a bit puzzled about why Hermione is so worried about her "Imperius-like" method of helping them transfigure. Since when is the Ministry likely to interfere with anything that might cure lycanthropy? Or object to anything that is done to werewolves (given how badly they themselves treat them)? As for the second half of the chapter, Severus is, as usual, being ridiculously cruel and demanding; but Hermione is showing utter contempt for him by the way she turns the other cheek and goes the extra mile, subjecting herself to odious tasks that he has not demanded she perform. He deserves that contempt for the way he is treating her, but she shouldn't pretend to herself that he has nothing to resent in her behavior. To punish yourself and then blame it on someone else isn't exactly fair either. |

| Another great chapter. It was good to see the children make their transformation without any major issues. Hermione and Severus really need to get over themselves and figure this out. I love when severus says "since I now need to finish what I started while waiting for you." was severus partaking in some selfgratification? I think he likes having Hermione in detention so that he can stare at her. I bet he really loved her scrubbing the floor on her hands and knees. He would have had a great view of her rear end. Thaere is alot going on under the surface in this chapter and i love it. They really do need to talk but will they be able to do it without getting upset with each other. Can't wait for next week to see how the talk goes. I hope that RL slows down some for you soon. Keep up the great work. I'm sad that we are two thirds of the way through. In many ways i don't want it to end and at the same time i want to know everything now. *sigh* |

| Marvellous! NOW he wants to talk! I wonder if he wants to talk to her or remonstrate with her. I highly applaud Hermione's decision to decline having a conversation, especially after THAT detention. Brilliant chapter? Are you sure you aren't a unicorn in disguise? GIven how much work you have done in RL this week you have turned out excellent writing yet again. Thanks for a lovely read. |
