| It's been a long time since I've read a story with such promise. You've taken real care in developing a unique plot, and the characters and their interactions are given particular attention. Furthermore, by indicating that you've outlined the full story and aim to update each week, I find myself buoyant that this may well continue to be a truly fantastic and memorable story.
As for this chapter in particular, I'm wondering about the mention of Hermione not getting round to telling Harry she's keyed Severus to their wards. What I'm currently imagining is him coming by and finding Hermione and Harry in bed together! But I think that's probably just an over-active imagination...
I think it's interesting that we know Harry and Draco will form a prominent part of this story, and yet you've held back from basically any contact between the two of them so far. I'm pleased because so many people race to the end of their story, rather than taking the time to let it build gracefully.
I'm looking forward to Harry doing the Animagus transformation - I keep wondering what magical animal he will be. I've assumed that he won't be like Hermione and already have secretly mastered it - in your character setting he seems much less inclined to keep secrets from her than she is from him.
Keep up the brilliant work, I'm really impressed with what you've produced to date. Author's Response: Thank you very much for such a detailed review. In this fic, I gave myself lots of room to develop the characters and their relationships. Right now, Harry and Draco have very little reason to interact, so much as Harry might *want* to have plenty of contact, it's not going to happen; I'm glad you're enjoying the slow build as their lives unfold. It'll be a while 'til Harry's transformation, but hints are on their way. Harry and Hermione both keep secrets when they feel it necessary to do so, and at the moment, he just doesn't seem to have as many secrets that she doesn't already share ;) . | Your Author's notes sold me on this story alone. There's nothing better than to settle in for a good long read, especially when the story is completely written and there won't be long delays for updates. Author's Response: LOL Thank you. | I relly liked this chapter I think you gave Hermione a lot more personality here .You know though ?? I think the line I just loved was were you had her leaving Snapes room and she was mock asking him to have sex..I died that was SO FUNNY I have made fun of my own lameness like that so many time's it was just such a human normal moment that was great .I also like how you are showing some evil I don't like it when storys SAY someone is bad but there dasterdly deeds are so sugar coated it makes my grandma look more menecing. So kudos on your evil . Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it. As I said in response to your last review (I think), we're moving more into more areas where Hermione is less certain about herself (or very certain that she doesn't have a chance). Glad she seems normal to you there. I don't like to dwell incessantly on Voldemort being evil, but I *have* carefully chosen scenes that I believe are necessary, because, as you say, it gets annoying if all you ever do is hear about the big bad with no proof. | As terrible as the killing of the children were, it was a great scene. It makes sense that Voldemort would do something. Can't wait for more. Author's Response: Thank you. I was trying to capture the horror of it, because I *do* believe that Voldemort does truly dreadful things and we need to see some of them to keep it real. | Wow! I'm really looking forward to the next SEVERAL DOZEN chapters -- especially when they'll be in par with the high standard you've already set. As to the story itself....as Harry said, there are many 'long stories' that we've yet to find out about....and I'm sure looking forward to hearing them! | Happy Friday the 13th to you, too! I feel the same about those days... Excellent reason for a double-dose this week! (As a point of interest, did you know that there will be Friday the 13ths in March and November this year? ^.^)
That was intense... I like how this is developing, you're setting a lot of points in motion right from the start, but it's not overwhelming. Must read MOAR!!! (And yes, I'm sure it will interfere somewhat with my schoolwork, but isn't that the point of fanfic? Anyway, I think I can allow myself an hour or so a week to catch up on a little reading!) | wow... what a chapter... the things Moldypants forces Severus to do... *sigh* ... Although I'd love the story to be all here so I can read every word my greedy little eyes can get my hands on... lol I thank you for putting so much work in to posting. I've really come to love this story in a short amount of time, knowing that its finished is wonderful. I cant tell you how horrible it is to read a really REALLY story for like, 30 chapters, only to find its unfinished and was last updated three years ago. Grrr... Arg. LOL So thank you for posting once a week. It really gives me something to look forward to at the end of my week. Author's Response: Yup, Voldie is a bastard and it really sucks to be Severus sometimes. You're very welcome as to the work for posting; I want you guys to have as good a fic as I can make it. I was scarred for life by some WIPs in my early fanfic-reading career, so I've made it my mission to get my readers whole stories, even though it might take a little while. | 62 chapters long?? That means 55 more to go... That is over a year!!!! Holy crap. It is something to be said about this story that I am gonna wait every week for a new chapter for the next year.
