| I waited until this was complete to read it. It took a few weeks of squeezing in time to read each day, but it was more than worth it. It has everything-Action, suspense, romance, and a highly original plot. I loved it, and I am sorry it is ended. Who is Phoenix Writing?

| Wow. That story was amazing. I have essentially been reading it every spare moment for the past 2 weeks. I must say again, amazing. The scope of the story, the effort put into it, the quality of the writing...you should be so proud, it is so very excellent. |

| Stunning. Brilliant. I can't describe how much I enjoyed the feeling of living through that year (even though I read it all in a week) with our favourite characters. Loved that you came full circle back to Andrew Stebbins (sp?). It was like the everyman portal to enter and leave the story and very elegantly done. I never thought I'd say this when embarking on 600,000+ words, but there has to be more. I am especially dying to know what Hermione achieved on her NEWTS. Even though she had highest marks well in hand, she would never settle for not having the official status on parchment. While it certainly shows other facets of her life have superceded academic achievement, she must want to know badly enough to be tugging at your quill (no?!?) This is my first review, however, as I was compelled to try to relate how impressing the ride was: the way you made the whole story so desperately interesting. I tend not to enjoy stories that have any focus on werewolves and magical creatures. You succeeded beyond anything I've read in quite some time at making every relationship, every scene and plot sequence, every triumph and setback fascinating. Thank you. |

| I must confess that I am one of those horrible creatures that typically reads and doesn't review, but it seems to me that such a gargantuan effort deserves a least a few words in response. I want to start off by thanking you for the creative gift you have given to all of your readers. I commend you on your undertaking and your ability to see this story all the way through to the end. Your writing of the technical aspects of magic (i.e., animagus transformations, the Weresbane cure, warding, etc.) is superb - dare I say it - probably even better than cannon. Your description of the final battle is one of the best I've ever read in fanfiction. I'll admit that sometimes your Hermione was so capable and perfect that I wanted to kick her ass. But she tended to show her little character flaws every time she and Severus had a little - as Led Zeppelin would call it - Communication Breakdown. And for me, though it could be frustrating at times, that was always a redeeming factor. Because after all, who can't relate to that kind of thing when it comes to relationships? It strikes me that your writing evolved enormously over the course of the 600,000+ words, so that by the end I really had the sense that you have grown into your art. Well done. | I haven't submitted very many reviews but I just wanted to let you know that I LOVED this story. I found it when it was mostly completed and just couldn't wait for updates, every thursday I would get on Ashwinder just to see if you had updated. I hope to see a lot more of your stuff in the future. It was amazing! |

| WOW this was awesome! I just read it over a period of 10 days or so: every night after work I'd try and read a bit more in between everything else I have to do, and I'd get all irritable if I wasn't left alone to read it! I read a heap last weekend and finished it yesterday (Saturday). I came over to read it because I'm working my way through the SSHG awards. This was EPIC and FANTASTIC and I'm thrilled that you won the Best Saga/Epic. Totally deserved it! (Perth, Western Australia :) ) Also, thank YOU for putting it up at Ashwinder, since I can't read anything @ OWL. |
