| I absolutely LOVE that you give so many surprise updates to the story. Although everyone kind of expected this one. Come on, who doesn't know what happens on 7/31 in the Harry Potter world? However I admit to being confused about the two birthdays on 7/31. I always thought Neville's was on 7/30 (my birthday) and all info I can find, such as my search at Lexicon and other miscellaneous places shows the same. So, who's birthday is 7/31 besides Harry's or did I totally misread something since I'm so tired...?
Anyway, I feel that your characters of Hermione and Severus are spot on with how I picture them. I believe I can tell that Severus acts out in jealousy and self defence. So, obviously it happens all the time. I can't see him telling Hermione how he feels without something *HUGE* pushing him toward that. Like her admitting first or if the wards came crashing down around her and she's on her death bed. So, I hope that doesn't happen, be we know that somethings got to draw them together, if not, the cats plan that Hermione has is oh so sad!
I'm glad you answered what I was wondering about if Roger wouldn't have killed himself, but if he wouldn't have finished with the treatments... if he would then become a werewolf animagus or if he would basically just go back to being only a werewolf and wouldn't be able to transform into an animagus at all. Wow, even explaining it that way sounds completely confusing.
I began to suspect, shortly after Victor arrived, that he had deeper feelings than Hermione was readily admitting to. Which is part of why I think Severus has become jealous. He feels that Victor could be a threat, but only because he is ignoring all the incredibly subtle hints that Hermione is giving him of her feelings.
Anyway, I need to go to sleep. Thanks as always for an awesome update. I can't wait until next Wednesday/Thursday (hopefully Wednresday). :) |

| After pondering on some of the things in your story between Hermione and Fawkes et al, I have a strong niggling feeling that Dumbledore was the last Pure Adult. After all, Fawkes does have a fondness for them. I had thought for a bit that it might have been Grindelwald. But I have nothing to base that on.
It's strange, is it not, that even with Dumbledore's magical strengths he will most likely not be leaned upon for the real support of the final battle. (No one will be stepping between Harry and Voldemort this time around.)
This tale gets more and more excruciatingly good with each chapter. I say excruciating, because it really feels painful to be without it in it's entirety. I feel that I may expire from curiosity at times. So the extra two chapters came along so fortuitously timed at the end of a truly crappy week. Thank you. As ever, it is probably the one thing I look forward to each week more than anything else.
I love how you broke Viktor's heart. It was beautiful. Now nudge him over to both Ginny and Pansy for some smutty consolation, Kidding, and all will be right with the world.

| Ohh, I really liked this chapter. I'm thinking of a Viktor and Pansy pairing, the Slytherin would know the exact way to heal his heart. And poo-poo on Severus for his behavior, unless he is lurking around the Astronomy Tower ready to give Hermione some glimmer on hope... |
