| Severus really thought that Hermione was going to confess that he changed her status. What an idiot. Of course by grabbing her like that, he just announced it to the room himself. Serves him right! Author's Response: LOL I think Severus figured (and rightly so), that his involvement would be much more likely to come out if Hermione revealed that she was a Pure Adult. | Hurrah! Another chapter - I've been counting the days 'til Thursday this week, so I would have something to raise me from the pit of boredom that is work. And raise me it did! I do like the fact that you've kept Snape's natural demeanour up and not surrendered the fact that he can be an unmitigate arse to the need for fluff - very nicely done indeed. I'm not entirely sold on the Transfiguration block explanation, etc., but that is the very smallest of quibbles. And I do apoplogise for never having reviewed before, though I've read the story avidly, I'm just incurably lazy! Looking forward to the bonus chapter, as this cliffhanger has left me on the point of imploding. Author's Response: I'm pleased that I was able to raise you from that pit of boredom, lol. I've tried to keep Severus canon compliant to the best of my abilities. As far as the block goes, I consider it one of the drawbacks to being a Pure Adult (since it comes with so many perks); Pure Adults have two forms: human and magical animal. They can Mask these forms. They can make superficial changes (like hair colour or a Glamour), but becoming something inanimate runs contrary to who they are (I've always imagined it as something more fundamental than becoming an armchair that still says "ow" if it's been poked with a wand). In the Hermione/unicorn case especially, I see it as a sort of ultimate confinement--which unicorns cannot endure. Harry can preserve his living essence, if you will, in the flames, but Hermione hasn't worked out a similar compatibility to anything. If it still doesn't work for you, I guess it will remain a quibble (but feel free to e-mail me if you have any more specific questions/issues that I might be able to address). | Hello again! You seem to have a talent for posting new chapters on my exam days. Today I had an exam I've been dreading, but needless to say, with the thought of a fresh installment of TPWP in my mind, it didn't seem so bad. And this was a fantastic chapter! It's nice to have Ron back, even if I did want to gift him with a full-force bottom kicking for a long time. Good old Viktor, stepping in to help out! (I love him. I wonder if he'll ever figure out how Hermione feels about Severus?) There are certain scenes that always fill me with happiness whenever I read them. They include: conversations between Hermione and Snape; conversations between Hermione and Viktor; and battle scenes in Room One. And this chapter gave us a great battle scene! I do love it when Hermione and Harry band together to give the others a show. Actually, the Hermione/Harry dynamic has been one of the things I enjoy most in this fic. I love the fact that they're so close and have this amazing bond. Final note: whenever I read a new chapter, I've got one eye on the text and one eye on the scroll bar at the side of the page, and I feel more and more depressed the closer it gets to the bottom. My kingdom for neverending chapters! Needless to say, this was a fantastic chapter; I am in love with this story, and I can't wait for the next installment, which sounds like it may come sooner than usual, ho hum! Author's Response: LOL Perhaps your examiners are trying to defame Thursdays? And it is up to me to try to redeem them? ;) I'm delighted that my fic continues to inspire you and that you enjoyed this chapter so much. Really, Ron and Severus are more alike in some ways than they'd ever want to admit. ;) I'm glad that you're enjoying Viktor so much as well, and it's lovely to hear about the scenes that you like in particular. Battle/fight scenes are one of my least favourite to write, so it's quite reassuring to hear from people who think that they worked. The Hermione/Harry friendship was one of the things that I most enjoyed exploring in this fic. I think they have the potential for being fantastic friends. ^_^ I don't think Ashwinder would take a neverending chapter. ;) Thanks for taking the time to leave another such lovely review. ^_^ | |||

| I've been very bad and have not reviewed in awhile. Excellent story. Thursdays have fast become my very favorite day of the week. A bonus chapie possibly in the near future?
