| Hi there!
I am ashamed, truly ashamed, to say that I've been eagerly reading and greatly enjoying this fic for a while now, but have never reviewed before. I'm sorry for the oversight - I had many 'meant to, but did not' moments, and today I am FINALLY rectifying the situation.
That said, this chapter was FANTASTIC! It's great to see their relationship finally (hopefully!?) getting back on track after the series of car-wrecks in their past. I really enjoyed their conversations, in particular. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible writing skills - I (and many other slacking non-reviewers, I'm sure) truly appreciate it. Knowing that your update awaits me at night (I live in New Zealand, so we're a little ahead of the rest of you :)) gets me through my 3 hour Japanese lecture like nothing else!
Thanks and great job again, (whatever could an update 'in the near future' mean?? Now I'm going to have to check back everyday...)

| So, at best guess, I've been reading this story for about 5 months. Or so. And I can honestly say that I have never, ever reviewed anything... ever. I'm sort of a wallflower when it comes to the internet. Anyway, I was sitting here in my new apt, looking over the other reviews (this is what I do when waiting for an update) and I realized that they are right. This IS the best work of fanfiction I've ever read (and I have Cassandra Claire's stuff saved on my computer). Seriously, what you're doing here is amazing. The characters have depth, no desire is instantly gratified, they make mistakes, and you make the reader question your judgment, their own judgment and the judgment of the characters. Everything about this story speaks to me and causes me to contemplate what's happening for days on end. Congratulations. You have truly created something to be proud of. I hope, when this project is done, that you continue to contribute to the writing world (fanfiction or not) because you have a gift for character creation and plot formation. It is true that those who don't like to read a lot of detail probably won't enjoy this type of fiction as much, but really, that shouldn't cause you to change anything. Because what you are giving us is magic, even if it is slow in coming. So thank you. |
