Reviews for The Problem with Purity

First of all, I have to agree with Nerdlee/Mia. Second of all, Bat-man is the perfect nickname for Snape, even though I now have the Batman theme song stuck in my head... lol I also liked that Hermione checked for any obstacles in her path--oh but wait, Severus was in his rooms. Teehee! Too cute. Third of all, Ronnikins is just fantabulous in this story! I love him! I guess that's about all I have for tonight, apart from saying thanks for another great update! ~SK824~

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the Bat-man bit; it was kind of irresistible. ;) I don't actually see Severus as a bat in terms of an Animagus form or anything like that, but it's so easy to make the overt association when he's sweeping around the dungeons with his robes billowing. :D Hermione trusts her abilities to get round most people, but Severus can be a bit of a problem case. ;) And I'm delighted that you're enjoying Ron so much, lol. It's been interesting to see how people have reacted to him recently. Thanks, as always, for the review. ^_^

A funny chapter that i enjoyed reading tonight. Keep up the good work...I just can't wait to read more! You are awesome!

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed it and that you're looking forward to what's coming up next. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

Yeah, a day early. I await next week when we can see what else you add to the web you've spun. I am really enjoying the story and was glad you threw a little bit out there with a 'kind' Severus, at least he didn't take more points (poor Griff's) or another detention (poor Hermione).

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed the kind!Severus moment; I believe that the capacity is there all the time, but there are plenty of other considerations and conflicting behaviours which are … more engrained. There are still the good moments from time to time. :D Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

oh god i absolutely loved the little bit when severus is nice:) i cant wait for the next chapter....thursday cant come soon enough! i cant believe its the half way point...oh geez. when will we get some snape/hermione?

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the … softer moment with Severus. Unfortunately, it's not exactly his overt modus operandi, and the much higher likelihood that he'll snark or snarl means that it takes a lot of work to get to the Severus/Hermione. You've got to be patient. ;) Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

Thank you for your prompt postings -- I'm not sure if I'm excited or saddened by the fact that we are JUST halfway there! (This must be the fanfic version of glass-half-full!) Darn Albus for making everything last so long. I really hope that he gets his nose rubbed in it one of these days! As always, will be back for more! (P.S. Thanks for Severus' kind turn...)

Author's Response: You're very welcome; the fact that we're halfway through is similarly exciting and sad for me (but let's go with the glass half full for sure!) Albus has a method, and sometimes it's much easier simply to go with it. ;) I'm glad that you're looking forward to what's coming up next. Severus being sweet is … less common than him being snarky, but we can keep hoping, right? Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

Well thank god that Severus finally stopped acting like a total prick. It was really getting a bit much.

Author's Response: Severus's sweet side is, er, very deeply buried. We see glimpses only much of the time. ;) Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

yay for a slightly early chapter! Laughed at 'Bat-man'. The wards recasting should be interesting!

Author's Response: I'm glad you're looking forward to the re-casting and that you enjoyed the Bat-man bit; it was a bit of silliness that I could not resist.

Another chapter of gorgeous ferocity. Yet I am inexplicably touched by the tenderness that I am reading into the gesture that Severus made to allow Hermione to sleep. Now, I may be exceedingly dense, but all this time, I thought Severus was jealous that he felt Hermione really wanted Harry but couldn't have him because Harry is gay. Then I thought, maybe Krum. But in all honesty, he probably thought that the one she wanted who didn't want her back was Ron. Am I on the right course with that? I am probably being ridiculous, as it really isn't a neccessary point. Holy Batshit! I loved your exhausted Hermione. It was like she was drunk. I also loved the long distance head slap to Remus. It is always a joy to read this story. It's what we care about, and why we're here. The reviews are quite a nice perk. But we really just want the meat of the matter. And I say this after I asked you questions in my review. But honestly, respond or not, I'm in it for the glory of the story. ~Mia

Author's Response: LOL I'm glad that you're theorising and asking the questions, I'm just not going to answer them; what Severus is actually thinking is not something I'm going to reveal before it comes out in fic. ;) If I were going to venture something hint-like, it would probably be that if you're confused, Severus probably is, too. ;) Exhausted Hermione was fun to write, and getting a tender moment in from time to time is important, if a bit rare given Severus's temperament. :D When Remus acts like Ron (or Harry in HBP movie-verse, lol), he gets treated like Ron. ;) I will continue to try to answer all reviews because it's important to me, but I appreciate your letting me know that the story is that important to you. Thanks, as always, for the review. ^_^
