So is Severus behind the spell light, or is that too obvious? After feeling crushed for Hermione in the last chapter, am feeling much better after this one - there were several little surprises that were nice. One was Harry taking Hermione's part and ordering Draco out of the room - something I wouldn't have expected in such a long-desired and newly consummated relationship. (So both Draco and Hermione get thrown out by their partners the morning after?) Another was Hermione finding "solace" in the restricted section among books, of course, and learning about Solace Slytherin - a very intriguing and unexpected name for a Slytherin! And Draco's apology - good for him. I like the way you are writing him. I know I am being dense about this, but Harry and Hermione seeing the enchantments, glamours, etc. Do all magical persons who have had sex see the same things and H &H are finally seeing them for the first time, or is this a by-product of their having been Pure Adults and having their power increase? I wasn't quite sure that which scenario was meant. And Unforgiveables from Severus . . . I am surprised that something doesn't alert Dumbledore when Unforgiveables are cast, particularly by one of his teachers at one of the students . . . .looking forward to the next update!

Author's Response: LOL I'll let you read the next chapter and find out about the source of the attack on your own. I'm glad this chapter gave you some lifts from the last one. Harry's relationship with Draco is indeed newly consummated and devoutly wished for, but I think Harry will remain always sensitive to slurs cast on his friends. He's also had time to get used to the idea of Severus and Hermione (even if the actual fact was probably shocking), and especially with her being so visibly distressed and clearly going through crap with Severus right now, he makes the right decision about who to support. (Meaning that half a couple each *does* get thrown out the day after sex, yes. LOL) I'm glad you enjoyed the discovery of Solace (of which more later, of course) and Draco's apology. Sorry for the lack of clarity with Hermione and Harry; the ability to see spells in that manner is most definitely unique to them--not even Severus and Draco can do it for having slept with Pure Adults. Unforgivables and Dark Magic normally set off wards in Hogwarts, but Room One is shielded against that (because there is usually run-of-the-mill--so to speak--Dark Magic being cast in there for Hermione and Harry to fight against). Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

You are downright evil, you are! ;) What an ending... Can't wait for the next chapter! Great job, again.

Author's Response: LOL I'll take that as a compliment. ;) I'm glad you're looking forward to what's coming up next. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

"will be posted in the near future"???? Does that mean you are going to throw us poor souls a tidbit after begging for more frequent updates.... or .... you find twisted humor in watching/listening to us beg? After the last chap, I was almost dreading this one (I was so upset on Hr's behalf), but you did an excellent job, as always, in smoothing those edges while sharpening others. Can't wait for the next udpate.

Author's Response: LOL You do indeed get a bonus chapter (but I warn you now that they will be few and far between); I try not to find too much twisted humour in watching you beg, I just need to keep my job and therefore can't work on this fic all the time. I'm glad this chapter worked for you following the mess at the end of the last one. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

Ok, it's official. Severus is a complete and utter prat! I know his feelings are hurt and confused, but noone should be this big of a jerk. He had better grovel in the end!

Author's Response: LOL And Severus being a complete and utter prat surprises you in some way? ;) He reacts badly in emotional situations (read: PoA, OotP). We can't expect miracles. ;) Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

Wow... another incredible chapter, I love Thursdays! The last chapter had me in heartbroken shock for days, this was the most perfect way of dealing with the aftermath. I simply love the way I have to read it through twice: once to enjoy seeing everything from Hermione's perspective, then to analyse (your painfully canon!) Severus and work out the hidden meanings behind his actions. Oh, and I also love reading the reviews afterwards (and your responses, when you're able); as someone on here pointed out, Severus must be feeling very conflicted to cast the Cruciatus on Hermione. Words can't express how much I adored her reaction, so icy and resolute with the 'Killing curse' comment. Your Hermione is the witch I think many of us would love to be - feisty, powerful, frighteningly intelligent, compassionate, loyal, and more than a match for Snape! As ever, I can't wait to find out what happens next, and am hoping your AN means it might be soon! Thank you for a truly wonderful read :)

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter so much and that you found that it has started to pull things back together after the shocks of the last chapter. It's very flattering to hear that you read the chapters through twice to get as much out of them as you can. I, too, delight in the reviews to get other opinions and new insights. Conflicted is a state that I see Severus in quite frequently. I'm glad you enjoyed Hermione's reaction so much. "Near future" is indeed my indication that it will be less than a week until the next chapter (that just won't happen very often). Thanks for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. ^_^

not another cliffie???? I still want to box Severus' ears!!!! One point you probably need to think about to keep it consistent.....headmaster would be notified of any unforgiveables being cast automatically, intentional or not....so you might want to incorporate that detail in some how.....

Author's Response: LOL The cliffhangers are part of the fic-reading experience. And Severus could still stand to have his ears boxed, yes. Like Hermione and Harry's quarters, Room One (where they have their training), has wards up that prevent the headmaster from being notified about the use of Dark Magic (which he is alerted to in other parts of the school). Albus accepts that Severus and the other trainers will need to use Dark Spells to help Harry and Hermione train, and while he might be slightly less accepting were he aware of just what occurred in this case, he can't tell. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^
