| What a tease! And so many interesting developments--didn't see the lycanthropy coming for Draco. Author's Response: I'm evil, I know. :P Lycanthropy is the sort of thing that would scare the hell out a pure-blood; Voldemort is sadistic and pretty clever. | Ah! I can't believe it ended there... lol i was looking forward to Severus time :) Excellent progress though. That's intense planning on Hermione's part now with Draco and Remus. Exciting times! Once again, an amazing chapter and wonderfully written. Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter even with it's absence of Severus. Hermione's got lots of things going on with lots of people (and is it any wonder that Severus is confused?) Severus will feature prominently in the next chapter, I promise. | Very interesting opening chapter! It sure makes you wonder what the scrolls were about since all we know is that they are very secret and someone wants them very badly. Can't wait to read more. | Excellent as usual, although I did miss the Severus Snape absence :( I guess I'll be slowly rereading again until next friday :) I think I've reread your story three times now, it doesn't get old though. I still love the fact that Hermione and Harry can do the mindspeak on their own but Dumbledore needs to relay information through Fawkes, hehehe. Author's Response: I'm delighted to hear that my fic stands up to multiple rereadings. There have to be perks to being Pure Adults given how much hassle it's causing the two of them. ;) Severus will feature prominently in the next chapter, so you will get a fix then. | It’s rather funny to regard Hermione as the “New-DD-in-training”. --- I very much liked the talk between H & D. I’m curious to learn if he is truly infected. Well, we’ll see in a few days… I hope some day we’ll also get to know why Draco has fallen for Harry. --- The conversation at breakfast between Ginny & Draco sounds rather stilted, very polite. Probably the very best you could expect from them with their families’ history. A little bit surprising was to hear Draco say Voldemort’s name, and not something like “Dark Lord”, seemingly without any problem. --- Thanks a lot for this great chap. I look immensely forward to “Friday, 9 pm”. Btw, it is really a wonderful thing that you update such regularly. Author's Response: It *is* sort of funny because on the one hand, the next Albus is exactly what Hermione *doesn't* want to be. She disagrees with many of the things that he's done with regards to Harry (and on other matters). On the other hand, she's self aware enough to see their many similarities. I'm glad you enjoyed Hermione and Draco's discussion. The conversation between Ginny and Draco is *definitely* supposed to sound stilted. Ginny knows that Harry and Hermione want it to work out but she doesn't actually know any context; Draco needs it to work because heading back to the Slytherin table is not an appealing option. Given, as you say, their families' histories, very careful politeness is what they both aim for. Draco, as we heard about in the last chapter, is very capable of grand-standing, and getting that "Voldemort" out while everybody is listening in here is very deliberate. Managing it instantly when he's not carefully watching everything that comes out of his mouth has not actually happened. I'm glad that you enjoyed the chapter and I'm happy that I will be able to gratify you with "Friday, 9pm" tomorrow.
