| All the emotional upheavals! Hermione has the worst luck with love. Viktor's at least lucky that HE didn't fall in love with Severus. Thanks for the bonus chapter!! I love this story, who cares if you have left out the horcruxes. Your story is wonderful, so charged and real. Enough gushing I guess. Can't wait for more. |

| Oh, god. Poor Viktor. And poor Hermione. Severus has been such a spiteful bastard towards her, it would have served him right if she'd fallen for Viktor instead. Sure seems like Viktor is more deserving of her affection, but maybe Severus will get his head out of his arse one of these chapters and finally see what he's missing. |

I was half convinced that Hermione would end up in Madam Pomfrey's care and she and Severus would patch things up but, yes, this is more realistic.

| Many thanks for the surprise bonus chapter! ** Okay, so Viktor wasn't spying on Hermione for Voldemort, just in love with her (as seemed pretty clear from the outset--and even from the fact that he showed up). She handled it properly, of course, but it's yet another emotional wrench, and of course Severus's behavior makes it harder, even though it gives her confidence that she's doing the right thing. I just hope that rejecting Viktor won't force him to leave Hogwarts, which will piss off all her Quidditch-loving friends and cause more heartache. ** I loved the explanation of the blood warding and how Hermione and Harry are going to get Voldemort. Very clear, although after lowering and raising the wards, I can't imagine that it's going to be a great strain on Hermione. I'm predicting here that something is going to go terribly wrong and that Harry is going to fall back on his instincts, since you've spent so much time stressing how good he is in such clinches. ** As for Severus, he continues to be a petty, jealous bastard. I wish you'd shown us his reaction to Draco's reproach and Harry & Hermione's departure, but Ron's new respect for Draco was priceless. And I did take a moment's hope from Severus's final "Where are you going?" which sounded like it might have been involuntary--a wish for their conversation to be prolonged, however unpleasant it was. And has she ever got a firm agreement from him that he'll help ground her when she lowers the wards? That's clearly important, and far more essential than Albus's agreement. |

| Thanks for the bonus chapter! So tragic, but she's been fooling herself if she didn't get the gist of the 'mila moya' nickname. I still feel though that Snape is doing irreconcilable damage. Some things one shouldn't forgive. How can a unicorn be with someone who is so petty? |
