| Beautiful chapter as always! You enhanced Viktor as deeper character which is great. I was specially delighted when he called Hermione "mila moya" in Bulgarian ( i presume is definitely Bulgarian because I can't read cyrilic). I am from Croatia, and we say it " mila moja". It is difference in one letter. :) As always, I liked description of wards and idea of air pockets to fool people that there is nothing after that layer. Author's Response: I'm pleased that you like what I've done with Viktor so far. "Mila Moya" is indeed Bulgarian (as proper as my handiness with the internet allowed me to find, anyway); it's fun that it's so close to Croatian. | This was a completely scintillating chapter, just as all the others have been. I'm looking forward to the dynamics that will ensue between Severus and Viktor. I find myself extraordinarily hopefull that it's Severus' door that Hermion'es knocking at it, but I severly doubt it. There's no way she would go to see him without any trepidition. Then again... Nah. It can't be. : [

| I can see that Victor and Severus are going to be butting heads, should lead to some good fights! LOL Great to see the werewolf center getting up and running, and seeing Bill droll over Hermione's wards is just cute! | Wow, it's the 2nd time in a row that Thursday comes erarly. I am so glad I checked, you made my day. So will we get more of a jealous Severus because of Victor ;) Also, I am on the edge of my seat anticipating a serious retaliation from Voldy once he learns how many of his plans were upset, the Pure Adults & the werewolves. Great job !!! | It's been over a year, I think, since I've read fics anywhere other than The Petulant Poetess, since that site is so awesome, but when I started this story over there and saw how few chapters were there, I headed to Ashwinder to see if there was more to the story here. That was two nights ago. I caught up in the wee hours of the morning last night. This fic is amazing. It has a very different "aura" than many of the other epic fics I've read lately. I believe you mentioned Pawn to Queen in one of your author's notes, and this does seem to feel similar to that. (It's a shame that story was abandoned; It was the first epic fic that I read). As I was falling asleep last night, I kept trying to come up with situations where someone can dress Severus down and say something like "Idiot Man! You were the one that Hermione WANTED to sleep with!" etc. It took a long time for me to realize (through the course of many fics, not just this one), that even though the reader can see that both characters care about each other, it's different when you put yourself in their shoes. Nevertheless, it is very frustrating to see all of this turmoil and angst happening because people are too stubborn to talk with each other. I am REALLY looking forward to reading the rest of this story, (but not looking forward to the fact that it will end eventually). I also hope that someone clears up this misunderstanding soon, because I want to see Hermione and Severus happy. Did I mention that this story is awesome? It is. You are amazing. Author's Response: I'm delighted that you're enjoying the fic so much. I was really hoping to be a little more up-to-date with TPP (read: a lot more), but between RL work (grumble, lol), Ashwinder, and ff.net, I've found it a lot more difficult to post to a third site than I was hoping (since I check the chapter over again carefully before posting to TPP because they catch all my stray commas). PtQ was my first epic, too, so while it's years ago that I read it, now, it lingers perpetually in my mind. Severus is so very stubborn and has enough issues that even somebody dressing him down is likely only to piss him off rather than resolve the situation. :P For the most part, as fic readers, we *know* who's supposed to end up with whom, so as you say, it's different for us than it is for the characters in fic. There's no story (or at least it's a very different sort) if they just admit everything up front at the start (or even 200K in, lol); it *is* frustrating, but that's part of the fic-reading experience, too. ;) Thanks so much for taking the time to review (and I'll try to get caught up on TPP, I'm just not sure that it will be terribly soon). ^_^ | |||
