Reviews for The Problem with Purity

This is perhaps the best story I've ever read. I discovered it four days ago and have since read it twice (and my favourite parts three times). I think you've done a wonderful job of keeping everyone (relatively) in character, and your portrayal of Hermione is fantastic. I wish you'd written book 7 instead of JKR, since her Hermione didn't turn out nearly as smart as she should have (She married Ron, for example). The only problem I have is with the misunderstanding about Severus revoking Hermione's right to call him by his given name: it seems rather obvious to me that he did, in fact, revoke it, and I'm confused as to why he would think otherwise. "Unwarranted familiarity" is rather direct, is it not? I just thought you might want to know how much I enjoy your story. Please do continue it, and I'm eagerly anticipating Hermione's reaction to Snape's persistence in Chapter 46!

OMG! I've been reading your story since I found it two days ago! I love it!. I can even say I've gone as far as not updating my own work on another website because I was so enthralled of your writing. Excellent work! Please by all means, update soon!!!!

Gads! Why, why, WHY is Severus being such a berk to Hermione? She keeps her cool and it only seems to make him more angry. I just don't understand why he's so bent out of shape. Even if he's secretly in love with or lusting after Hermione (which he probably is), how does he think being a bastard is going to remedy the situation in any way?

It's nice to know he's finally realized he needs to talk to her...I'm glad Hermione's standing her ground

You have this thing that you do, and you do quite well, and that is called ambiguity. Particularly where it relates to Severus. I can't figure your Severus out. I'll think that I know what his motivations are and what he's thinking and then you go and have him do something completely unexpected. Which is an approptiate feeling, considering whose perspective this story is coming from. What I'm getting at here is that I seriously feel Hermione's pain... and am rereading some pertinent bits to try to figure out what the hell is going on in that man's head. Can they pretty please have a conversation soon? Before they kill one another? Or explode?

Severus is back! Thank you, thank you thank you! :D I hope he won't be satisfied with the 'no' - I'd rather they fight the whole next chapter than go their separate ways till you feel like bumping them back together again some 25 chapters later :) That being said I really like how this story is progressing and I'll be eternally grateful to you for writing it :) PS: I'm really glad Sophie is all right, after the cliffie last week I was afraid something would happen to her. I can just picture her falling asleep with Tonks - that feels just right!

As I said in a review of an earlier chapter, this fiction is rather unique in that we do not get to see inside Severus's head -- just Hermione's. It's also driving me batty, because I'm finding it harder and harder to figure out anything about what he's thinking, feeling, or trying to accomplish! I'm glad we're back to him and Hermione, however. I think I've had enough details about the werewolf cure.

Oooh! I can hardly wait for Snape and Hermione's "talk" which they will undoubtedly have in the near future. Considering that he is initiating communication, Hermione is behaving very childishly about it, but I rather like that she is exhibiting teenage personality traits. :)
