LOVIN'THE STORY,BUT THE WAIT BETWEEN THURSDAYS IS A KILLER. WOULD IT BE TOO SELFISH TO ASK YOU TO JUST PUT THE REST OF YOUR LIFE ON HOLD AND JUST WRITE AND WRITE AND WRITE UNITL THIS THING IS FINISHED OR YOUR FINGERS FALL OFF--WHICHEVER COMES FIRST?

Author's Response: LOL Well, you can ask, but I'm afraid I can't gratify you--not unless you want to support me since I'll be sacked. And I need my fingers. ;) Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

Oooohhh, I'm so excited! I want to know Severus' reaction when he finds out about the weresbane! And I do so hope that the transformation goes well. This week is going to be a long one, I can tell already. Thank you once again for posting, this is a wonderful story

Author's Response: You're very welcome; thank *you* for taking the time to review again. I'm glad you've got so many things you're looking forward to; the wait isn't too much longer now. ^_^

I'm so glad the weresbane works. Evil cliffhanger. Ugh, Severus. I'm so bad at productive reviews ;)

Author's Response: LOL But I love hearing from you. :D Severus is Severus, and there isn't much more to be said about the matter. ;) Thanks again for the review. ^_^

Yeah, it's Thursday and an update. Poor Hermione, with Sev it's always 1 step forward, 5 steps back, huh? Will he ever start to just trust her? Can't wait for next Thurs.

Author's Response: As you say, it's complicated when it comes to Severus (and most relationships, for that matter). The man definitely has trust issues, so managing that with Hermione is difficult for him. And there is still the teacher/student dynamic to contend with. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^

NO you can't do this to me! A week is way to long for this cliffie. I was so wrapped up in the action that i had to do a double take when there was no more. This wait is going to be torture for me. Once again you have captured the parts of the characters that i like best. The Remus Draco interaction was fabulous. Hopefully (for Harry's sake) they can keep it up when everyting is done. I kept thinking that Severus was going to storm in and catch her with the two of them. That would have been very interesting. However when he does find out i don't think he is going to be to thrilled about what she has done on her own without seeking advice. He can be so darn stubborn and i don't see that changing anytime soon. I am hoping that this week flys by so i can have another chapter of this totally addictive story. You are a fabulous writer with a fabulous imagination and it really shows. Keep up the great work. I will have to find some way to stay sane til next thursday. ;)

Author's Response: LOL Sorry. The cliffie strikes again. I'm glad you enjoyed the Remus/Draco. I think there's very little that Remus won't do for a fellow werewolf victim, and Draco's working on his prejudices, he really is. Severus and Hermione are *both* very stubborn, so it makes for some interesting times for them, poor dears. Thank you very much for the writing kudos. I always appreciate the reviews, and I hope your sanity remains intact. ^_^

I kept wondering while I read the fic if Severus would rescind the extra months' of detention (particularly when he learns she was trying to help Draco) or if they would end up being a cover for him and Hermione spending time together in future. If the cure does work - and it is hard to believe that it could work on a first try on human subjects - wouldn't Severus have the slightest bit of envy over Hermione for it, especially since he hadn't helped? Oh, and wouldn't he berate her for not testing enough? Yes, she said she'd tested it, but on what? Wererabbits? Best lines (yeah, the same ones I posted in my ffnet review - I've got to convince the wonderful Powers That Be on this site that I can post useful reviews - long story that, don't ask) Severus had finally asked her if she had recently taken up or abandoned a recreational drug use of some sort. That was probably her Slytherin side talking. Or possibly her Gryffindor one. It was hard to distinguish between them sometimes. Hermione suddenly wondered just how many new werewolves Remus had counselled over the years. " Remus, no chocolate for the rest of the day." He actually pouted for a moment... "It tastes … the way wet grass smells after you roll in it." "Again—" Draco began "You've had a deprived childhood, we know," For the longest time, Harry had remained utterly unwilling to apportion any blame for events during their fifth year to Sirius. She had nearly had to wring the boy's neck to get him to admit that it wasn't all Severus's fault, and it had taken weeks to get Harry to say that it was Voldemort's fault and sound as though he meant it. (How come Hermione never told Remus before that Harry thought he blamed him for Sirius' death?) After three such examinations, he'd taken to writing out and then pointing to a note which said, "I'm fine: no side effects," every fourteen and a half minutes so that she'd know he was doing all right. (Hermione's anxiety is most amusing) "You're certifiable, but good luck with that." "I'll be back in a few minutes," she said as resolutely as she could. "Good luck with that." He was looking at her the same way that Harry had, like he wasn't altogether certain that they would ever find the body. Her smile was pained as she attempted to joke weakly, "I'm probably going to be promising the detention time of my children when I don't go again on the tenth, yes." "From here on in, you do exactly what I say," she said in her best no-nonsense voice. "I will not hesitate to give you the antidote and throw you out if you attempt to ignore my instructions. Understood?" This bit of autocratic behaviour was rewarded by two more solemn nods; they didn't even make a crack about this being remarkably similar to her usual behaviour. "Remind me to kill you later, though," Remus added. "You nearly gave me a heart attack." She shrugged. "It was a reliable way." He nodded. "I understand; I just need to kill you." "That seems fair." She wondered if they would get suspicious at some point about so many potions she had on hand interfering with the Weresbane.

Author's Response: I'll have to leave you to see how Severus is going to react as I don't want to spoil you at all. As you say, what *would* Hermione test on except werewolves? She did all the (magical and normal) in-lab testing that she could, tested various stages with Remus as she went, and now it's on to actual werewolf/human trials--and they know the risks and think it's worth it anyway. She had duds with various stages of the hybrid and the potion (pre-fic as briefly mentioned), and she's come out now to the one that she believes will work (which may, apparently, require a suspension of disbelief on your part ;) ). Nice to see the lines you enjoyed more than once, and I won't ask for details. ;) Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^
