| Wow. The mousse was a gorgeous touch, and it's so nice that it's semi-resolved, although sad as well, as half of the allure of the story was the constant excitement of whether they would sort things out. Though now it's excitement over how it will end, whether they can last a day without destroying it, etc. I have to say that I occasionally skim past the werewolves, as I'm not really into the whole science thing, just ask my previous teachers, but I really love this story, really do. Keep up the good work, and please write more stories after this one is done. |

| Dear Silver Birch,
It looks like things are going to be resolved soon, which is sad in a way (as it usually is). I wanted to take the time to tell you why I like your fic so much and what makes it one of the highlights of my Thursdays.
First and foremost, you got the pace right. I cannot stress the importance of this point enough. There are millions of fics where SS and HG either jump straight into bed or dance around each other a little a THEN jump into bed. (The key word is “jump”, sadly). This is fun a couple of times but soon it becomes annoying. Even if you’re not into angst, the overall psychology is disappointing. Your writing is nothing like that, for which I am more grateful than I can say.
Secondly, your chosen theme is somewhat peculiar - and original enough - so that the reader is not able to guess straightaway what this fic will be about. For instance, we all love (or hate, as the case may be) Time-Turner and MLC fics but their ideas are not original to begin with and very few of them manage such graceful stories.
Thirdly, the general interpretation of the HP universe is very appealing. Somehow you manage to balance main characters, secondary characters, magical creatures, MoM, science, history, the war and whatnot all rolled together, yet still give little twists of your own to ambiguous matters. In other words, you are not JKR but your portrayal and “knowledge” of the universe is full, rich and believable.
FInally, I only have one concern about your fic. In fact, it’s not so much concern as fear. I fear that, having written such beautiful prose for nigh on 50 chapters, you will slack in your efforts to deliver this miracle of a fic. What I mean is, there are countless examples where the author wrote an otherwise brilliant fic but either didn’t have the guts to end it properly (which is not your case, thankfully) or warped the ending (see above about jumping into bed), rendering the finale absolutely disappointing. In other words, I am very afraid to read the next few chapters because “the end is nigh” and I don’t want to be disappointed. Therefore, I wish you with all my heart the best protection of Muses for the ending and positively beg you to postpone it if you are not sure of it for some reason. Please, don’t think me presumptuous, I only wish to continue holding your fic in the highest esteem possible.
