| Haha! I was thinking exactly along the same lines as crspens! I am loving this story, but a little peeved with Snape right now, I mean come on, he's a spy, but, even the best can misinterpret signals and he's certainly acted jealous enough. Wow, forgive the run on sentence.
I just know I'll be giving you a year (or more) of my life to read this story. Author's Response: LOL My lovely, suspicious readers, I love you all :D . I think one of the areas where Severus is blindest is when his emotions are engaged; he has a very established history of behaving irrationally when Harry and the Marauders are involved. | Ron deserves a good hexing for being such an inbelievable ass. He's supposed to be Hermione's best friend as well as Harry's and his behavior was every bit as tactless and crass as the rest of the students. In fact it's worse, because he is supposed to be their best friend. I also think that Snape would not have passed up the opportunity to eavesdrop while Harry and Hermione thought themselves alone and unobserved ... what proper Slytherin would pass up such a golden opportunity? Great update, can't wait for the next one! Author's Response: Ron *does* deserve to be hexed, yes. He has a habit of speaking and acting before thinking, and once he's taken a stance, it's hard to get him out of it. I see him as maturing less quickly than the other two (which may or may not be fair to him), so his reaction is definitely not as supportive as it could have been. Severus would have spied if he could have done, but the wards on Room One are formidable. Thanks again for reviewing ^_^ | |||

| Excellent! I keep suspecting that Severus was listening from some obscure place while they had this little talk after Hermione took the burn potion. Maybe now he'll get over his issue without divulging what he knows to Albus. I'm a bit of a wishful thinker right now. Anyway, again, you've written a great chapter. I hope to see the next post soon. I know you said around Thursday, but I can't help but hope it may be sooner. Thanks much! Author's Response: LOL No harm in hoping for the best but sadly, Severus was *not* listening in on the conversation, much as he would have liked to. His issues are all firmly in place ;) . | I felt so sorry for Hermione when I first read this chapter; she's trying so hard with everything, and it would be so nice for her to get a break with Severus. Yet, it was not to be... The more I think about it though, the more I think this will make the story much stronger in the long run. Firstly it takes the pressure off you, the author, to have their relationship progress soon, and secondly for us, the readers, it builds up the suspense even more! Author's Response: When it comes to Severus--and especially Severus and relationships--I don't think it can ever come easily. Hermione *deserves* a break, but sadly, that does not mean she's going to get one *insert evil author cackle* . To make it believable in the scope of this fic, it has to take time, and that mean suspense for you and plenty of other activities for me to write about ;) . Thanks again for reviewing ^_^ | |||

| This story is so good! I love all of the ideas in it, and it is very well-written. It's hard to find well written stories with original ideas that are novel-length.
