I'm glad to see that Severus is finally trying to talk to her. Great chapter!

About time Severus decided to be less of an ass. Sophia and Tonks were cute together, hopefully it will make Remus feel more guiulty about his actions towards Hermione. Severus and Viktor are acting so grumpy, maybe Draco and Harry can secretly cast cheering charms on them?

Sorry for the long silence, but real life got in the way- as I take it it did for you :) . I hope things at work will get better for you soon though. I have been following your story diligently though as ever and I still like it as much as ever. I agree with the readers that Severus is in love with hermione and there are just a lot of misunderstandings between them. It would be nice to see them resolve things of course, but I think I would be more taken aback if they were suddenly the happy clappy couple after one frank discussion. It would seem quite artificial and not really fit with the rest of the story. I am sure that you are not going to do that as it does seem to be a bit unlike you. We will just have to wait and see and i am sure the ending will be all the better for it when it finally comes. i am very gald to see the reconsilliation with Ron though. This was the only thing that disturbed me a bit about your fic - as it does with a lot of other HG/SS fics, that make Ron into a villian (I know you didn't really do that but I am sure you know what I mean). Just because we all want HG/SS to be together, doesn't mean a seven year friendship has to be discarded with a few sentences. It always seemed to be very artificial to me when you take canon as your baseline. So the bottom line of this little rant is, I am very glad we are now seeing a more reasonable Ron :)... Keep up all your really good work and I very much look forward to the next chapter.

I dearly hope Hermione didn't overestimate herself with trying to cure four young children simultaneously. Perhaps a good point in time to try MindSpeech with Severus and call him for help? After all he's the expert regarding the working of the mind. I would actually deeply appreciate it if he were to make more of an appearance in your tale, much much more. We've had now two thirds of the whole, and you made him rather scarce … After your announcement of frank discussions for this chap I expected some with him, not only with Remus. This one seems to be astonishingly deadlocked in his opinion about HG/SS – is there something more to it? Love your Tonks, btw. She's great fun to read... Thanks a lot for your continually reliable up-dates and for all the research you've put in your fic.

Oh dear! I knew that the transformations had been going too well, and that couldn't continue. I worried that you would do what you had to do, and throw in a wrench on one of the children. And of course, since you are an excellent storyteller, you did what had to be done. And now I have a whole week to worry about the little one. Great story. I love the werewolf cure subplot. I am too cross with Severus right now to even want him to be in a better place with Hermione. He can suffer along with the rest of us. I am looking forward to Hermione getting back to work on the wards.

while i must admit to checking this story almost obsessively every wednesday evening (JUST in case you've posted it early), i must admit that i've been disappointed with the last few installments, especially this one. i've always admired how well planned your small story universe is, but there ARE things that we don't need to know. j.k. rowling has mountains of information she decided not to include in the actual stories, and i think you would do well to consider that philosophy. this chapter contained many details that are well thought and illuminating, yet you've managed to keep the overall plot at a standstill. yes, events occur in this chapter (draco learning of harry and hermione's animagus forms, third trial, confrontation with remus, etc.), but it feels as if those were all things that should have been the sub-story of a chapter, instead of being all that makes up a chapter. i feel as if, after reading this, i had no new knowledge of the story that i didn't already have. it feels as if this story is treading water, waiting for something to happen. the plot of this story IS hermione and severus' relationship, and the war with voldemort, but it seems to me that you're dwelling too much on sub-plots. yes, yes, we know about weresbane, we know about the animagi forms, we know hermione will tell remus to shove it. where's the action? i'm getting tired of waiting.

People really do learn new stuff all the time, no matter what their age is. Here I am, in my late 50's, and yours is the very first piece of writing (whether fiction OR non) that got me to realize the moon still rose during a new moon, it was just covered up. All my life I've seen calendars posting the quarters, full and new moon on whatever dates they fell--and somehow, it never registered what the "new moon" meant. I'm intelligent, I LIKE science, and yet....phht!..right over my head! I missed it! One of those things was so obvious, I "knew" it, I just didn't KNOW it! Thank you for that! Also, thank you for the other believable detail you provide in this story. I do hope that ultimately Severus turns into a more fully functional human being, emotionally speaking, especially where Hermione's concerned. But I love this story, and enjoy what you write every time. Thanks so much for all of your hard work. By the way, "cool watch!" ( And I have to ask--are you an astrologer--or astronomy student, whether formal or informal?)
