| I was so excited about this chapter, and you do NOT disappoint. Detention for the rest of hogwarts' semester and animagus transformations, Yay! Although there's one part near the end you mention that hermione tells Draco to forget about the events in fifth year, where I think you meant fourth, which is when crouch jr transformed him into a ferret. Or I could be completely mistaken ;) again though, absolutely love your story. Author's Response: I'm glad that the chapter has lived up to your expectations. And many thanks for catching the fifth year error. As you say, Barty Crouch was at Hogwarts in their fourth year with that great big Goblet of Fire that happens to be the title of the fourth book. *rolls eyes at self* Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^ | |||

| Excellent as usual - really appreciating the amount of research and number of steps to this Weresbane Potion. It's clear that a lot of thought and work went into this process, and I love that you've taken the time to show the details, not just, "Oh, Hermione found a cure, moving on." Draco and Remus' interaction here is also absolutely fantastic - two characters that I rarely see together in a fic for any reason, and I think you've really tapped into Remus' father side - one that JKR hinted at, but never had time to develop. As for Severus and her detentions...is this going to be a punishment or a privilege? And what is he going to say when he discovers the real reason for her absence? So many questions...I don't suppose I could persuade you to post again before next Thursday?! Author's Response: Although I know from my reviews that I haven't convinced all my readers that Hermione should be able to create the Weresbane (not without being perfect!MarySue!Hermione, anyway), I did try to show that a great deal of work went into her creation (including a lot that happened pre-fic); to me, showing a lot of that thought and all those details is what prevents it from being something unbearably unlikely/unrealistic. So I appreciate that you seem to have seen it the same way. :D I don't see Draco and Remus together very often, either, so that was part of the reason I wanted to take the time here. Sadly, Thursday posts continue--but you'll be heading towards answers to your questions bit by bit. Thanks, as always, for the review. ^_^ | |||

I'm still enjoying the story - immensely !
i just would rather there be more dialogue and a pick up on the plot between Severus and Hermione. what can i say, patience is not one of my good qualities. I'm enjoying the playful dialogue between all the characters. But I'm not too keen on Hermione's....i want to call it arrogance. But that's just me. she's your version of Hermione and I'm just a humble guest in your world.

The prose will remain intermixed with the dialogue; hopefully, what dialogue and interactions there are will counter your impatience for the wordy bits. ;) You're not the only one to see arrogance in Hermione, and I don't mind you saying what you feel. ^_^ Arrogance/superiority/pride are an important component of her character to my mind; it's part of the reason that she actually gets along so well with Severus (when they *are* getting along, anyway, lol). They're both bright people and they know it. Since this very long fic is all in Hermione's POV, you're seeing things that she's thinking that she wouldn't necessarily say or that would come across less if we were in someone else's POV (and then, of course, there are the occasions where she says the arrogant/superior things, but I think that's drawn from canon). In the end, as you say, she *is* my version of Hermione, not the only way to envision her by far, but what we've got for this fic. But I still appreciate your letting me know what you think. | I like the fact these spells are in Swedish; I agree it just seems 'right', somehow. Three word corrections you'll have to make: It may rhyme with caulk, but the proper spelling is "BALK"; there were two of those (first one was in the 10th paragraph from the beginning). The other is not 'fairing' but FARING (as in "fare thee well"). All the rest was perfection itself. I can hardly wait till the next chapter! Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the Swedish spells. :D "Baulk" is actually the British version of the American "balk", but I've corrected "fairing", thank you. | It was very nice, having this chapter resolve a bunch of issues between not only Sev & Hermione, but between Harry & Draco as well. Now that part of the board has been cleared off, more fresh stuff can be put on! Excellent chapter! Author's Response: Now that we've made such progress between Draco and Harry, I'm trying to keep up with both couples at once; sometimes, of course, this isn't possible, but I don't think I abandon one or the other completely for very long. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks again for the review. ^_^ | |||
