| That was a good chapter - the calm before the storm, perhaps?
I loved all the bits of byplay between various characters, not least Severus allowing Hermione to sleep in his office. Next, to the wards - that's going to be very interesting. | SO good! I love everything about Hermione and the castle wards. I think, besides her relationship with Harry, its my favorite part of the story so far. I really enjoy the castle being such an important character. The little dialog between Hermione, Fawkes and Castina was very amusing! LOL "Bat-man has imposed this punishment" LOL great line. The scene with Severus was nice. I always love when he shows just a little of how he feels. Great chapter as always, and again, darn those evil cliffys!!! lol Author's Response: I'm pleased that you're finding Hermione's relationship with the castle so enjoyable; it was a fun dynamic to explore since it's something that I've rarely come across in fic. I don't really see Hermione as a big drinker, so doped out on sleep deprivation and overtaxed magic is as close as I could get her to that sort of feeling. ;) Severus has trouble saying what he's feeling (well, unless he's being really insulting and means it, of course); every once in a while, his actions get to speak for him. | This is brilliant :D I love that Severus allowed Hermione to sleep, and did not continue in this vein of t00biness whilst Hermione was so exhausted. More than enough time for that when she's better. Author's Response: I'm delighted you enjoyed it so much. Contrary to the belief of many, Severus is *not* a monster. | Ok, a quick story for you: I was out at dinner discussing the details of differences in the immune systems of adults and infants, and I was trying to describe the importance of these differences, but instead I come out with "... the problem with Pure Adults..." and trailed off, realizing what I'd just said. Seriously, your story has permeated my whole mind! I was so amused, I didn't even attempt to explain that slip of the tongue to my friends. I thought it was a neat little salute to your effect on my subconscious. Secondly, this chapter was fabulous. That sleeping bit from Severus was heart-melting. Nice symmetry in their actions too, taking care of each other when they can't take care of themselves. I can't wait for next week! | I am such a bad reader! I should have reviewed long before now. I have to say that this is my favorite fic at the moment, and the only one I log on to check and see if there is an update before I look at anything else. You leave such delicious cliffhangers, too! I have also never been disappointed with an installment. Excellent work. The only thing I wish is that I had not started it until it was finished so that I could read it all at once! You usually update before Thursday, but the week is sooooooooo long! Author's Response: I appreciate that you've taken the time to review now; reviews from my readers really do mean a lot to me, and it's lovely to hear that you're enjoying my fic so much (including my cliffhangers, lol). You're not alone in wishing that you could get the whole story at once, and I feel your pain, as I rarely read WIPs for the some reason (and for the fear that they'll be abandoned).
