| I thought the fight was a really good way to get the blood samples; a perfect distraction. I also thought that it was a good time to introduce Draco to the story. I'm happy that he can play a background role, but knowing that he's going to be more critical in the future I think it's pertinent to take your time developing him. I especially liked that despite Harry's preference for Draco, he absolutely looks after Hermione and puts her first at this point. It shows a maturity that he protects what he has, not a potential. I thought it was a really great comment for Hermione to make about forgiveness, and I think that signals the turning point for Severus and her's relationship. In my mind, this is the kind of statement that is enough to break through the bitterness of losing out to another Potter. We'll have to see. Author's Response: I'm glad the fight made sense to you. I know it's been a bit slow with Draco, but important as he will be, I didn't want to involve him overly before there was a good reason for him to take centre stage. Because he's really not at a point right now where he can just hang out with Hermione and Harry. Harry likes Draco, but he and Hermione really are best friends, and he's not going to forget that. Getting Severus to truly understand that Hermione means what she's said about forgiveness *in all contexts* is the sticking point, but ... well, we'll get there eventually. | You have a fantastic command of timing and plotting. This story is developing at the perfect pace: not too quickly, not too slowly, with enough tension to keep the reader engaged, yet not so much that your hand is displayed too early. | Severus' heartfelt laugh was a divine way to end the chapter! Good one! Looking forward to the next! | Another amazing chapter! Your building of the friendship between Harry and Hermione is so well done. I'm enjoying this story so much.

| Lovely! The black-themed Christmas topped it perfectly. Have a lovely holiday. I hope you return inspired to write, because I'm quite addicted to this story. Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it; I certainly had fun writing it. The holiday was quite good overall, though it had a few less-than-ideal moments. The story *is* complete, so you don't have to worry that I'm suddenly going to poop out on you in the middle, it's just the final edit that results in the weekly posting.
