| Bonus chapter? Oh, thank you. I've had a dreadful week and I need another fix of this wonderful story. I, like other reviewers, get too emotionally involved. I love me some Severus, but all I want right now is for Hermione to punch him into next week. And somehow, a good punch would be ever so much more cathartic than a magical surge. She's good at punching Slytherins as I recall... :-) Author's Response: This seems to be a bad week for several of my readers; I'm sorry that it was dreadful for you, too. We're getting closer to the bonus, now. Punching Severus would no doubt make Hermione feel better, but I'm not sure it would do a lot for their relationship. ;) Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. ^_^ | |||

| When is Snape going to get his head out of his ass and start making amends with Hermione? I do hope that it is soon; a little angst goes a long way. Author's Response: The problem with Severus is that he has to have a *really* compelling reason to try to make amends with someone; otherwise, his default is to do his very best to show how unaffected he is (even if that backfires spectacularly as far as we're concerned, lol). Given how the encounter went from his POV, what reason do you think he has to make amends with Hermione? They are both very stubborn and both have very fixed notions currently of what they think is going on. Thanks for taking the time to review again. ^_^ | |||

| I was hoping from the title that the apology would be forthcoming from Severus, but thank you for putting Ron back in the game - I'd almost forgotten about him hanging out all by himself. I liked both his pig-headed assumptions and then his sincere apology. Hermione is really very forgiving...I don't know if I would get over a best friend being so hurtful, but I'm looking forward to seeing what role he plays in the next chapters. I also loved the bit with Dumbledore - a reminder that he's not the biggest boy on the block anymore, but in a nice way. Tonks and Remus are cute as always. And Severus...he's sinking farther and farther away for me. He's so incredibly nasty all the time to Hermione. I'm beginning to wonder if their part of this saga comes to happy conclusion or whether she simply has to be content with letting him go. Trying to stop them from telling who the Pure Adults are was obviously foolish. I wonder who's going to guess what in the next chapter...Fantastic as usual! Thank you! Author's Response: Ron being pig-headed and sincerely apologetic (eventually) is pretty much what he comes down to in canon for me. I've similarly always seen Hermione as a very forgiving person--from becoming friends with Ron in first year after his nasty comments all the way through the Scabbers/Crooks dabacle (and god, Ron/Lavender and the camping, but I'm not going there). I think Hermione's interaction with Severus is similar informed by this ability. Severus continues to lash out when it comes to his emotions. Since I don't want to get into his head when we're stuck in Hermione's, I guess I'll just have to recommend you keep reading (well, once I post another chapter, anyway ;) ). Hermione and Harry definitely aren't children anymore, and they have no intention of letting Albus treat them as such--but they are also fond of him and don't think anything would be solved by fighting with him. I love this story so much that I get a little too emotional sometimes when reading...it's good that's out of my system.

| It's me again. Oh! This was completely fabulous. I think my favourite chapter so far! I love it! With Viktor and Ron and Remus and Tonks and Dumbledore!! And I'm not just naming the characters here! Oooh I loved this chapter so much. Hermione is just perfect. I love that she can lose control and that if she wanted she could scold Severus as if he were a little child. Again, I find your Harry adorable and regal Draco is so awesome! I found that the forest scene kind of cut off too fast though, as if it weren't really part of the chapter. but then again, I just can't get enough (8) I have come to love the sentence ''the near future'' hehe Great work. How do you keep up with Real Life when you write such amazing stuff! Author's Response: I'm delighted that you enjoyed this chapter so much and all the interactions within it. *sits for several minutes and fondly comtemplates the nuclear explosion that would result if Hermione scolded Severus as if he were a little child* Thanks for letting me know that the Forest scene ended too abruptly for you; I was trying to pack a lot of information and interaction into this chapter, so I kind of rushed out of the Forest to get back to everything else once the necessary information was shared. | Oh, that is getting more and more interesting all the time. I was actually laughing out loud during the training session and the argument afterwards :) A great chapter! Your style is really wonderful and the plot - outstanding. I can't remember when i've last had such fun reading a fanfic.

- there's a mistake there I believe. Shouldn't it be ''I'm wondering IF it's to do...'' ?
