| the plot certainly is expanding and that's great, because there are so many little threads that can be picked up again along the way.
I think you've got Hermione's character spot on, it seems just like her to defend people who are 'good' even if they're not nice...

| Moody is more involved in this than anyone is letting on. I really don't give a rat's ass what happens to Malfoy and I hope Ginny ends up with Harry, but Moody needs to be taken to task and I think Hermione is the one to do it. |
