| i really liked this chapter... (the fantasy thing, hehe). I thought that was cool of Lavender to not charge her. And, it's a pity that peeps didnt care to notice how thin/ sad Hermione was until Severus pointed it out. I still say that Lavender loves Ron. hehe... Author's Response: Lavender has her reasons for not charging her. You'll see. And in regards to Hermione being thin and Ginny not saying anything...a little on that in next chapter. Besides, Severus has said he thinks the women of today try to be too skinny by his standards. | |||

| Yay. Let's see...Severus is attracted to Hermione, Hermione is attracted to her gigolo. Thank goodness Severus is smart enough not to seduce her in his gigolo persona. Update soon! :) | |||

| God, I love your story, but PLEASE give us a little SS/HG! Please?! I'm dying in frustration here. Sure, slow is good, builds anticipation and all that, but this is just torture.´Just a little crumb from your mighty table, please, please, pretty please. :-)

| As always, Betz, this is a fabulous chapter in a story that has captured my attention. Looking at Severus and Hermione through your eyes, they seem to be completely different from what I've come to expect of them but with glimpses of their longed-for familiarity.

| Hi Betz, you've written a wonderful story so far. I just love ist, when a story is developed slowly and reveals a lot of background-information - and the background you created is just awesome. The characters never seem out of character - ok, Snape beeing gentle is a bit hard to imagine, but considering the circumstances ... I really wonder, where that story will lead us to; is Hermione going to break up or is Ron going to snap an will be initiating the divorce? And after that, maybe Hermione is going to consider taking on an apprenticeship abroad ...? Well Im pretty curius abaut your ideas. Please don't make us wait too long. | |||

I am sorry I am such a lazy reviewer, but I'd like to make at least some of this up in this review. I am sick and at home, so I have a few minutes to write this review. I will post it as soon as I have a while in the Net (I don't have a connection at home, sadly). It seems to me that you have done quite much in the fandom lately - or am I mistaken? No, I am not ;). I see you post stories (or chapters) quite regularly, that you have issued a successful challenge and you are a very active member of WIKTT. That is great - I am not a total lurker, I post something once in a while and I follow quite many stories here - and I even sometimes review... Well, not that rarely, I try to be a good person, after all. But what I mean to see is, it is so nice to see someone who puts her heart into the group, which for me - you do. WIKTT needs fresh blood, once in a while, doesn't it? And your stories, I am pleased to announce, seem to be getting better with time. I'd say this one is definitely better than Who Do You Want. As much as I was reluctant to start the story, the summary convinced me to do so. I mean, the idea of going to a 'gigolo' to be relieved of virginity sounds a bit - a lot - appalling to me - while this is definitely interesting. I even read your GW/DM subplot with some interest, even though when it comes to secondary pairing that involves Draco, I am rather a sucker for some HP/DM... Yes, I used to run the moment I saw slash. It's all Pigwidgeon37 and Azrael Geffen's fault. So - I like the way you make the story evolve. It is angsty. It is post-Voldemort and a bad world. Just what Novinha always wanted. I am a sucker for some angsty post-Voldemort fiction. Or even better, Voldemort-Won fiction. Hey, how about you try a darkfic set in such a world, eh? But what else did I like - the way Hermione saved for her visits at Lavender's. The fact that you made Lavender a character instead of some mindless twit. What I don't like is your portrayal of Weasley family. I shall assume it's just because you needed it for the plot, but I must admit that I am getting bored with that 'Hermione doesn't want to become next Mrs Weasley while Molly would force her to have loads of babies'. I don't want to sound unpleasant. and I agree that the idea of Hermione who goes to become a breeding machine angers me just as well, but I feel a bit bad when I read such bad portrayals of big families. There is nothing wrong with them, most of the time. If they aren't pathological - and Weasley - canon - family obviously is not - then they are great preparation for the world for the children. Great background, really. I have three siblings ( and one brother from my dad's second marriage) and I'd never swap ;) On the other hand, I admit that some of the arguments why Hermione's marriage to Ron wouldn't work are plausible - even if I can just as well see them happily ever after. No mistake, I am a HG/SS hard core shipper, I just get offended when people say being married to Ron would be the worst thing to happen to Hermione. I think the way canon portrays them, they could be very happy together. Enough of this. Let's try and do concrit. It is good you write so long build-up - Hermione isn't one to just go around cheating on her husband. And sadly, it seems In character for her to rather lie to herself than face the fact that her marriage is a disaster. I would like to see more of Snape's feelings - why does he behave the way he does? I don't mean to say it's not well explained - I'd just love to see more. To end this prelonged review, I will just say that I am looking forward to seeing the direction your 'career' in fandom is going to take. I am sure we will see more of you here! And that is great, considering the fact that lately it seems as if many great writers were leaving the fandom, or at least giving up writing. Or is that just my impression? My first read stories were Snape-centric and Severitus-cousins ;) But I met HG/SS in my first months in fanfiction and it was a love at the first sight. Hvae you ever read anything by Pigwidgeon37? You might not have if you are new to the fandom. She wrote some of the best classic stuff, and her stories (some of them) can only be found on obscurusbooks, since evil ff.net deleted her account. If you haven't read her, I sincerely recommend. Some of the best HG/SS I ever read. And my, I did read a lot. Author's Response: Hi Novinha- I have nothing against big families. I have three siblings myself, which is bigger than most of the other families of friends I know. What I do know is that from an only child perspective - Hermione's - the Weasley family is a bit overwhelming at times. Bill and Charlie are pretty cool. But as there is in many families with enough people, there is always a manipulator in the family (which I have placed the twins). Sometimes there is the self-rigtheous person, played by Percy. So big families aren't bad, but someimes certain personalities can clash with others, once you get to know them as family. It's jsut a fact. Hermione loves Molly, but Molly can be a bit much at times for her. Hell, even my own mother used to be a bit much for me at times and I would avoid her like the plague. And the "not to become another Weasley breeding machine" so much as her reluctance to be pushed into having children BEFORE she feels she's ready. I had the SAME thing with my father-in-law..."WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE ME A GRANDFATHER?" Hermine is not used to such a family dynamic and finds it a bit much at times too, considering she's from a small family and she's not very close to any of her uncles/aunt/cousins. I'm glad you liked "Who Do You Want?", but that was written for pure smut, plain and simple. The plot in that story was all icing on the cake. I have read a few of Pig37's stories and I'm a HUGE fan of Azrael too. I'm not a slash fan, but I do love Az's use of it. Snapes feeling will come into play more as the story progresses, as he's more reserved with his feelings, it will take a little longer for them to surface...and acknowledge them. | |||
