| First starved Hermione gets fed by Ginny - really well-written scene. Then Minevra and Albus - believable and sweet if not completely new idea. And Lavender - she has an affair with Ron, doesn't she? I'd bet on it. I really liked this chapter. Kept my attention from the first to the last word. You've written another chapter that really had me captivated. I really wonder what Ginne wrote to Severus about Hermione. And if I had any galleons, I'd bet that Ron is having an affair ... with Lavender. Getting Hermione and Ron divorced seems to be included in her plans regarding Hermione.
And Albus and Minerva acting as Severus' conscience is a stroke of genius. They're adorable lol.
I won't press you, but whatever you do, keep in mind there are people out there waiting desperately for the next chapter... love Barbara
Author's Response: Well, one can only assume that Ginny told Severus a blow-by-blow account of her lunch with Hermione. You'll see. Yes, I like Albus and Minerva too. And what's worse is that they are manufactured by Severus, so it's not like they are really there, but his guilty conscience/softer side certainly likes dragging them up. I will, I will post as soon as I can, but it is a bit hard with a baby who newly learned the art of cruising..and falling down...and crying and has recently developed seperation anxiety, like all babies do at some point. (Got to love and hold and hug them at this fleeting age before they are grown and get their Hogwarts letter.) Got a house elf I could borrow for a while to clean house (especially dishes, I HATE doing dishes), laundry, vacume and such while I write? I'll even provide a fresh pillow case or tea cozy for the little thing. | |||

| Just read this all the way through from the beginning, and I wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying it. I love Snape imagining the ghosts of Dumbledore and McGonagall talking to him. I do hope that Snape will be kind to Hermione when he reveals who he is.
Will we get to see some physical action between the two of them soon? I do hope so!

Severus' gigolo personaility demands he be somewhat pleasant, but you are right, the questions remains is how will Severus behave towards Hermione when he finally reveals himself to her. You'll see, just be patient. And physical interaction between the two? Are we talking a handshake? A kiss? A shag? You'll just have to wait for that was well. Sorry to be so torturous, but that's the way it must be. | |||

| The story remains convoluted and fascinating as always. I find I am deeply suspicious of Lavender--is she feeling guilty because Ron came to her, or will she try to blackmail Hermione? I wonder that Severus has considered the possibility of Katherine Bigelow's name coming up in any post-disapearance investigation, but hasn't seemed to give any thought to the position Hermione will be in once he, Draco and Ginny vanish.
He does seem to be rather counting his chickens where Hermione is concerned, tho' of course I can't imagine her refusing to help them, no matter how dangerous it will be for her.
Severus's musings in the bath--his conviction that she would be repulsed to know she'd been intimate with him--reveal an insecure and unhappy layer of his personality that we haven't seen before. Hermione might surprise him yet.
Do not fret about the calls for instantaneous lemons--I _can't_ see them getting together in the next chapter, and I am looking forward to the journey you must take them on to a place where they _can_ be together.

| This is an amazing story. It's got atmosphere, some really frustrating sexual tension, and incredible Snape action. Is that a phrase, "Snape action?" Because I think I need a little after this chapter ;) | |||
