| This was beautiful. I absolutely loved the line, "she knew that he knew that she knew." When you left the last chapter up with such a horrid cliffhanger, I was really upset, but was truly surprised you had another out so soon. The relationship between Ron and Hermione is typical of many people. And though I think Ron has been saying increasingly mean things, Hermione hasn't been perfect either. The world is never black and white, and they both contributed to the decline of companionship and civility in their marraige. It's a downward spiral of scathing comments, where one is resentful for the hurtful words, and lashes back, wanting to duplicate the pain they felt themselves. Neither was willing to make the effort to stop the cylce of insults and believing they are the injured party. Both are right and both are wrong. I don't want Hermione to begin to think she's the sole victim and Ron the tyrant, when they are both victims of each other. Well, that's just my two cents. Divorces majorly suck, by the way. Author's Response: Yeah, I really busted my ass to get thsi chapter written. Thsi was by far the hardest chapter to write, as it was a fine dance between letting on and not letting on at all, pretending while not pretending. Very hard to write! You are right, Hermione is contributing to the decline of her marriage as well. She's spiteful in her own little ways. You are correct to observe the vicious cycle they are stuck in. Yes, divorce sucks, but sometimes people would actually be better off not married to one another. | |||

| Oh, and so it's ROGINA who is giving Ron dancing lessons. That doesn't sound shady. So there IS a chance he's just a big jerk. (do I have to britpick and call him a prat or berk??) Author's Response: Yeah...Ron mentioned he was getting lessons from Rogina, or didn't you believe him? You can call him a rat-fucker if you prefer...and yes I do mean that to take into account the pet he used to have. | |||

| Molly Weasley has goals, that's for sure. She's trying to get her family to repopulate the wizardng world singlehandedly. No more 'getting passed over' at the Ministry... sosirree Bob!! There WILL be nepotism. ;D Speaking of... I love how Severus reacted to the twins' employment offer to Hermione. They always were good at throwing monkey wrenches into the best laid plans! (Dolores as my witness) ~~ on a happier note, she almost kissed him!!!! **Yay** You know... if he gets off that much on an almost-kiss, she's going to have her hands full if she ever gives him a real one!! lol. And why is Hermione so obsessed with her coconuts every time she gets plowed?? ;D She must really need someone to tell her they are lovely. dear god, I hope she doesn't spill something important to Ron while being inebriated. I'm sure with his attitude he will be just LOVELY to her at the next counselling session. Or try to impregnate her. (I can see him taking advantage) (ewww) great chapter. And you must be so flattered.... everyone keeps chanting "update soon" - or maybe "one of us..." I get confused sometimes! ;D Have a good weekend, and belated congrats on your win. Not surprised in the least. Author's Response: I think part of it is that Molly lost brothers during the war, even seeing whole families wiped out. She wants to see the Weasley name live on. The only true legacy a person has is their children, in her mind. And for most people, that it true. There are people like Albus Dumbledore and Harry Potter who will go down in history for the great good they did the Wizarding world, but for most Wizarding folk, it is through children that their greatest legacy is left. Yep, she almost kissed him, but stopped herself. It will take a while to work on that little problem, but I'm sure she'll overcome it soon. Why the exhibitionist when she gets drunk? Because she's so self-conscious over her looks and has such low-self esteem in that area, when she gets drunk, she doesn't have that self-doubt. Remeber Ron's remarks about her breasts? | slightly confused. The summary on front page indicated that your lastest chaper is up, however chapter itsself isn't actually there. We're off kilter a bit on this site because of your chapters exceeded length and had to be split up. Thankfully the real chapter 41 was up on another site so I got my fix today. But maybe you knew this aready and chapter 41 is still in the queue? I'm rambling!
You are such a great writer by the way. Initially, I didn't read the story b/c I'm turned off stories of infidelity for personal reasons. However, you have treated the topic with great sensitivity. I'm glad I put aside my concerns and read. Update soon. This is one of the stories that I always look for when I log on. Author's Response: Chapter 41 is in the queue, and my chapters are asynchronous since I had to split chapter 37 in two. So chapter 41 will show up as #42. Thanks, I'm glad my story has made you take a look at a subject you normally don't read. I don't care for stories about infidelity, but I wanted to write a story that deals with Hermione and Ron in a disintegrating marriage. I wanted to tell a tale that neither condoned or promoted infidelity, nor painted those that cheated as good or bad people, just tell a tale about people who do and their reasons. | |||

| I have only one thing to say: your are the greatest tease of all centuries, YOU ARE THE QUEEN OF TEASE! Although your talent at building up expectations is now very well known – but that was the peak of it. So far, anyway! With the last sentence to let open the door by an highly nervous Severus to an Hermione who has no clou how she´ll behave around him – simply genial. From your point of view, at least, I imagine it was great fun to write the last part of this chap. Author's Response: Queen of tease? I thought I was the queen of UST. Oh well, any title is an honor. ;-) I will admit, I do cackle maniacally when I do leave my readers with an evil cliffie, but it was not intended to be evil. It was either that or cut the chapter off in the middle of their meeting, due to 11,000 word limits for chapters. | |||
