| Lol, that chapter was delightful, although the first thought I had when I read the title was, "dammit." Hermione and Ron's relationship has now taken on the quality of a train wreck: no matter how painful it is to watch, we can't take our eyes away. Betz, I have now decided we either need to send Hermione to AA, or take alcohol completely out of the fic for all the good it does her, poor thing. Sticking charms... how lovely it would be to be a witch, just for those. I really like the sub plot of a possible relationship between Kingsley and Lavender. So many authors, although I have long since stopped thinking of your writing as typical, seem to forget other events occur in real life, no matter how dramatic the main character's lives are. It adds a bit of mystery, as well. I was ecstatic when you said another chapter was in line, and I was wondering: Is this already written, and your incredibly wonderful betas only look over it, or do you write them as you go? Either way, it's amazing work, and as always, I can't wait until the next installment. Cheers. Author's Response: Yeah, you're right, it is a train wreck -- in slow motion. Well, everytime Hermione drinks it doesn't wind up catastrophe, but sometimes alcohol helps her along a path that she otherwise would not take if she were sober. Even some of the smart women can find alcohol as a bit of an escape from teh ehll they are living. I always have another chapter in live. When one posts, I usually have another one that I just sent off to my betas or is almost complete. Sometimes I have a couple chapters written when one posts. Right now, chapter 45 is in the queue, chapter 46 has just gone off to my betas and chapter 47 (the anniversary dinner chapter) has been written inmy head for months, so I'll be sitting down to write that right after Thanskgiving. | |||

| Pity Ron doesn't know a good thing when he has it. Poor Hermione tried so hard just to be tossed on to the couch. Severus left to while his evening away while the witch he doesn't want is in his bed. Oh what a web we weave. Wonderful chapter though, so busy so full of threads for us to watch how you weave them together. Author's Response: Well, sometimes even the best of friends and nicest people aren't meant to be together. And Hermione did sort of buy that dress to spite Ron. She could have picked soemthing a little more conservative, like she normaly dresses, but she picked the dress most unlike what she would normally wear. So while Ron was a complete jerk about it, Hermione is not completely blameless. | |||

| What a prat this Ron, get out ! I don't understand him. Why, if I had a so sexy dress, my husband would be all too happy to bring me where I want whith glimmering eyes, and I do believe any "normal" man would. Maybe that is the problem, maybe Ron is again a little boy... Go and get see THE man Hermione! (I let to the imagination who that could be, I don't want to break the suspens). In the same time, I am a little afraid, because Severus is quite vulnerable, I do worry for him, because if Hermione would reject him, I am not sure he could handle the situation. And when the inspections "surprise" would come, I wonder? hopefully not on Thursday or Monday? gulps... Author's Response: Well, Hermione did buy that dress partially out of spite. He certainly wasn't expecting her to wear something as revealing as that. Part of his reaction was more out of shock to the dress. So Hermione is not completely blameless - maybe she was hoping to annoy Ron with that dress. (ever think about that?) My mom one time called me a "Snow Queen" because I wouldn't go out with this guy she was trying to force me to go out with (when I was 20), so for Halloween that year (to spite her) I dressed up as the Snow Queen, complete with a white and silver Elizabethan outfit, white lace ruff, and a crown of silvery twigs. It was a stellar outfit. Lots of good questions in your review that will be answered in time. | |||

| You're making me live for the nights you update this story.
I don't know how Hermione can stand her situation much longer. Granted, Ron was right; she could have just sat there and nodded. But I can see how she's so damn tired of being chastised for being herself that she doesn't see a reason to do so. Shagging Severus is what she needs, definitely. :) Author's Response: (Blushes) Thank you! Things will come to a head soon. Time will speed up with the chapters and we'll be at teh anniversary dinner soon. And ten points to the house of your choosing too. You are the second review I've come across to recognize that Hermione could have been a little more flexible and gone with the flow of conversation. As I said in another review response, Hemrione has gotten spoiled on intellectual discussion during her evenings with Severus. Adn remember that first night she can floating downt he stair case dizzy and elated thinking this is what it was suspposed to be like as an adult, having good and deep debates...she has probably imagined for years that wizarding dinner parties would be chocked full of interesting witches and wizards who would discuss more intellectual subjects. | |||

| I was reading some of the other reviews and it pushed my brain to work for a few moments. I don't think Hermione would get pregnant giving she knows what could happen. "BUT" what if she were pregnant to Sev and still married to Ron. How would the binding spell work? I know another one for the marriage counselor or somewhere in the deep dark recess of a library. They should really have a wizard available for the muggle doctor... Well better check that my children aren't torturing each other. P Author's Response: Hmmm, good question about Severus knocking Hermione up. I will be adressing that issue later on. Hope your children are not perminently injured, if they have been antagonistic with one another. | |||

| Ohhh this is too good to be true... 3 more encounters, Ron's aniversary, I don't believe it, you are far too much creative to give us this "prepared food". Somehow, I am quite sure something will change all this great sheme. (yes yes they are among us! :p )
Thank you again for this great chapter again, although I would like to see more embarassing (depends for who) moments, between Severus and Hermione of course !
