| Oh dear God! I went to the website and listened to the cottontail distress sound...lol. Just like you said, imagining Severus trying not to lose an erection while listening to that...hilarious. I'm glad Ron is finally starting to understand that Hermione isn't happy. At least it seems like he is. It seemed at the end that he may be willing to consider counselling. Well, I think it would be good for them, but she still isn't in love with Ron and I don't think a counsellor can fix that. Plus, their is also the fact that this is a HG/SS fic, so she has to end up with Severus in the end...hehe *grins* Great chapter Betz! I am really really enjoying this story. Keep up the good work! :-) Author's Response: Yes, Ron does see Hermione isunhappy, but he's really upset at her still for the fight they had, calling him the world's lousiest lay - in so many words. Harry has stepped up to the bat and pointed this out and made Ron see the light past his own anger. Thanks for the lovely review. | |||

| Definitely another excellent chapter, Betz! I especially enjoyed Hermione's ultimatum to Ron. Though, personally, I'd just love to see her divorce the prat and be done with him. And seeing her bring up the conversation with Harry and Ginny was absolutely great! Such manipulation! Severus would be proud, I think, though he'd never admit it. You know, I sometimes see Hermione in this story as the Gryffindor that has lost the will to bravely move on to fight the next battle. All the death and hell that she's seen in her life, from the deaths of McGonagall and Dumbledore onward through her many marital problems with His Highness the Prat, seems to have drained her of the spunk we are all so familiar with from the books. It's rather scary, in a sad sort of way. The scene with Severus and Mrs. Nettleton was hilarious! I was cracking up and I agree with Siren in that I hope to see a little follow-up at the end of the story, sort of a humorous note to end on. Once again, amazing job, Betz, as well as her two awesome betas, Siren and Horserider! Author's Response: You have very acurately perceived how Hermione is in my fic. She has been worn down by the mundane life she leads and the tragedies she has witnessed. You are right to assume she has lost some of her fight and spunk.
