Thanks to you (and your betas) for another wonderful chapter; I enjoy the writing and story telling immensely, every aspect of it. Of course I'm rooting for a happy SS/HG ending, but I think the degree of realism of the moral dilemmas gives the story amazing weight that compliments the sarcasm & passion nicely. In real life, most jerks like your Ron are not entirely to blame, and they’re not 100% flaming assholes (although he’s rapidly approaching it). Hermione has several choices to make beyond what is right/wrong, beyond hormones. How much better it will be when she chooses life instead of falling into it. But that's also realistic - the moralism of the young gets tempered by experience. Those that learn are the lucky ones, no matter how shitty life gets in between. Your writing is so good, and I trust you to take as many chapters as the story needs, no more and no less. Author's Response: I can't tell you if there will be a happy ending or not, as that would spoil the ending. Sarcasm and passion? I can agree on the moral dilemma part, but if you think this story is also sarcastic and passionate, then okay.No, Ron is not entirely to blame, as Hermione has been a bit of a nag over the years - though if Ron did some housework, it might help put a muzzle on Harp'mione. But let's face it, they bring out the worst in each other at times. Yes, Hermione is partially driven by her hormones, but she is also driven by loneliness and mental boredom. You are quite right. Hermione has sat on her moral high horse for so long, she is only realizing there is no absolute black or white in the moral choices we make.

Thanks for the update and thanks for something(finally) on Gabrielle. Why does that man always find himself in a bind?! Poor chap.

Anyhoos. I wondered since around chapter 4, how you'd slowly but surely have Hermione realise her mindset on committing adultery and the hopelessness of a loveless, bitter marriage. Now when will they move on? Snape has his baggage, and I've a feeling Hermione will either be Fury incarnate upon discovery of his deception(there's no prettying that up) or she'll be erm..suicidal? I don't know.

So I'll look forward to reading what your skill with such truly human situations will produce. The next chapter is bound to be one with even more revelations and I for one, can't wait.

Author's Response: Yes, Severus got the short end of the stick when it came to some things in his life. At least he didn't wind up being a selfish, petulant shithead with a little cock...oh, wait - that's Ron.

I had to make Hermione - who has always sat atop her moral high horse, to slowly come to realize that not all instances of adultery are the same. Granted, fucking around on your spouse if just that, but Hermione couldn't understand GInny's reasons until she could fully EMPATHIZE with her.

Things will progress as much as they can for now. Hermione will go through a range of emotions once she comes to the realization of who her companion really is. The next chapter with merely a segueway to the next "date" night.

Falling asleep in the arms of someone is such an intimate thing and shows of the trust she places in Calleo. I'm also glad she finally admitted her feelings - to herself as well as to Calleo. And Ron called her what? Please don't let her put up with that sort of crap because she feels guilty ... Author's Response: Yes, it is a very intimate thing, in an innocent way. It shows how much security she feels when in his arms. Hermione is tired of dealing with Ron's behavior, which seems to be frozen at the level on an adolescent.
