I haven't read this story in about 7 years and I'm just about to start reading it again. I wanted you to know that this story has stuck in my mind and I've never forgotten it, it's amazing thank you for writing it! :)

Author's Response: Thanks for reading my story again. That's quite the compliment that you remembered it after so long. You're most welcome.

I started reading this story in the summer of 2007 - and you cannot know how happy I was to see that you have started posting chapters again. I've told many people many times about how amazing your work is! I'm loving the new chapters. Keep it up!

Author's Response: My most humble thanks for your praise, and your endorsement of my work by telling others. Thank you. I'm posting as fast as my beta can edit my chapters.

Good chapter. "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" is indeed a lovely, even haunting song. Having grown up with Tony Bennett's classic version, I enjoy it very much, although "sultry" would not have been a word I'd select to describe it, however suitable for slow dancing it truly is. Your description of the denouement of Hurricane Isabel made me remember the night my husband and I were driving through the awful, torrential rain of it, coming north through New Jersey at night.

Author's Response: The version I imagine on Lavender's music box is probably closer to the version performed by Nancy Wilson, which comes off more sultry than the Tony Bennet version. As for weather, I have tried to be very historically accurate for weather patterns when corresponding to certain dates within my fic. I've done a lot of research for sunrise/sunset tables, moon phase calendars, historical weather records and such.

Good chapter. I liked Hermione's interaction with the older woman of the camp. It was also enjoyable to find Hermione ridding the neighborhood vehicles of the gremlins!

Author's Response: I wanted to include the gremlins, and for the fact that many in the Roma community work in mechanics and various trades, and historically metal working, I thought it a good fit to blend the two.

Vulnerable Severus is very real feeling. Authentic. And raw. Great job showing this emotion without seeming weak. I wish you and everyone in Vegas this summer a great trip, but alas I can't join you'll.

Author's Response: Yeah, I had to go the very slow route in order to get Severus to this point. I could not have gone from canon Snape we knew (at eh end of OotP when I started this fic back in 2004) to this version os Snape in a few chapters. Had to really dig down and peel those layers away slowly, but boy, writing Severus this vulnerable was a treat, I'm glad it came off as authentic without being weak or whiny-emo.

I love this story. I am anxiously awaiting the next chapter / all of the rest of the remaining chapters!

Author's Response: Thanks. Things start really picking up in Chapter 62 with the Ministry Halloween Ball. This is the lull before the storm.

That may be the BEST disclaimer I have ever seen. And I'm not just saying that because I played Mae Peterson in a production of Bye, Bye Birdie once. Now I'll go read the chapter. :) So far the story is great!

Author's Response: Thank you. Oh, they get worse, much worse. I change it up as I find the standard disclaimer so damn boring I play with them to amuse myself. Just wait until Chapter 64 posts...

G'morning, I read this story years ago and really enjoyed it. Very nice character and plot development. Hope your review response numbers get back to what they were. Thank you for sharing your work.

Author's Response: Thank you. Honestly, I don't think the number of readers will be as high as when canon was still open. I know some have since left the HP fandom. I also post this story on AFF and AO3, and I know some have jumped over to AO3 for their fanfic needs from this archive. Also, because I walked away from this for nine years before posting again, I'm sure some have swore no more WIPs ever again, even though I've finished it and the only hold up is my betas getting through each chapter. The review numbers might go up once it's all posted and people are willing to invest time to read a 750,000+ word fanfic.
