| I spent the last 2 days in a haze completely caught on by your story. My God, all the character evolution from HP is amazing. You can just see Ron being unaware (to put it mildly) of his wife's feelings and thoughts and Harry being so messed up. But the real revelation has been Snape and Hermione. In the beginning I was a bit put off by how Snape was behaving (a good listener?) and how meek and put out Hermione was. But you really put a lot of thought on HOW they got there. And it's true. People can become broken when life takes a lot of unpleasant turns. The high achiever Hermione is stuck in a dead end job, resenting her husband for failing to arouse her body/mind. Snape having to alter his cynical bastard persona (another "mask" he wore while at Hogwarts) and is reduced to prostituting himself. But you have also wonderfully revived them through their interaction. Hermione is becoming more inquisitive (loved this chapter btw the inner struggle was like awakening the Hogwarts Hermione).
Your story has a lot of depth and thought in it. Every chapter has a pleasant twist of Canon. I absolutely loved how Lavender became a beauty products empress and how her love of divination has helped (Trelawny would have been proud, but I'm sure the Inner Eye knew about Lav all along...). And your attention to detail is stunning. My absolute favorite are the kitchen gloves with dragon hide.
I have only one minor criticism (call it a pet peeve): it is becoming sometimes distracting the use of "raven haired wizard" and "younger witch". Sometimes I have to back up and re-read the characters talking -not necessarily a bad thing. Of course this could also be that I ended up reading this story until 4am last night... (bags under eyes where is Lavender's cream when you need it?)
Again, thank you very much for doing this it is really nice to have a story with such depth to read. Would it be too much to ask how many chapters are left to this story and how often you are updating?

Yes, Snape really feels forced to be the good listener with most of his clients, but he has become a willing listener with Hermione now. I'm so glad you enjoy all the little bits I put into this story. It's nice to be appreciated for my efforts, so your review means quite a bit to me. The "raven-haired wizard" and "younger witch" bits is to break the monotony of repeating "Severus" and "Hermione" over and over. In asnwer ot your last comment, I ahve no idea how long this fic will be. It'll be donew when it's done. Though I know exactly what my characters will be doing, I can't say how long it will take for them to complete all their tasks. | |||

True I don't think she can't lie to him, he is too sensitive on her needs, fears, emotions. But once again, he wanted to tell her who he was, so I suspect he tells her before she tells him she knows. Author's Response: I'm writing as fast as I can and so are my betas. Chapter 40 is with my betas and should be done before the end of the week.You'll have to wait until chapter 41 before Hermione sees Severus again. | |||

| I can't see Hermione pretending that she doesn't know who Calleo really is working all that well and I can't really see why she feels the need to keep up the charade. In fact, I think she'd have a really tough time; it's difficult to forget that you know certain things about people. Assuming it's Lavender that she sent the note to, Lavender could certainly tell her a few interesting things about Snape (the apprenticeship and the royalties) that might help her see him in a better light. Can't wait to see what happens next! Author's Response: Well, Hermione could confront Snape and get it all out in the open, never go back and see him, or see him and pretend she doesn't know. So if she does go back, she can confront him and have an evening full of stress and aggravation, or she could pretend she doesn't know and continue to have her evenings of civility, conversation and dinners. Hmmm, yelling and screaming with a man who can verbally cut her off at the knees or keep pretending that she doesn't know and everyone continue with a nice pleasant time? Tough decision. | |||

| I am overeager for an update! Please, let's see Hermione meeting severus again, soon! I can't take it! Author's Response: Yes, yes, update, update. I always have a chapter in the works with my betas, so there is always another chapter on the way. My wonderful betas are working as fast as they can. You'll have to wait until chapter 41 for the next meeting between Hermione and Severus. If you can't take it, I recommend large quanitities of chocolate, the high cocoa content, the better. | |||

| Ahh! Great chapter - you had me jumping up and down with Hermione there!! I liked your theory on the witch's labor death, twas ingenious~! Anyway, can't wait to see what's next! Update Soon! Author's Response: Thank you, glad to entertain you so much. Yes, I had that idea from the begining that that was the reason why Tom Riddle's mother died and you haven't heard in canon of and witches or wizards coming from a divorced household. I did find it very interesting in HBP that Blaise Zabini's mother was widowed seven times, and not divorced once. | |||
