| I empathize with Ginny completely! And I don't think Hermione's character is too inclined to tell Harry what is really going on considering how much she, herself, is emphasizing also with Ginny's motivations. Hermione is restless and bored, and I suspect she is wondering if Snape is on Lavender's payroll. And I also suspect Snape helped her with her Beauty product line. What if there was a way Ginny and Hermione could prove that Snape and Draco were never really Deatheaters? That they were onboard before they ever went in? And what if Hermione could find a way to prove that their "Dark Mark" was faked, very cleverly. And this could all be used to discredit Fudge..... Actually, in some stories I read, Snape really was asked to infiltrate the Deatheaters. And he signed official documents. What if that were the case here? Presents some intrigue, yes?

| Excellent chapter...My comments today are more about you notes at the end...definition of Mea Culpa---had a college professor who gave the same definition and the same type of explanation (altar boy as a child). He said it anytime something went wrong in class or when he didn't have papers graded when he intended. Then there was your ideas from HS...Been there, done that, hoping my daughter is the same. Alone for the right reasons is much better than together for the wrong ones...I hope Hermione figures that one out on her own..She's not happy and knows why. She needs to fix the problem before she reaches the point of not being able to be friends with Ron. She needs to be empathetic to Ginny and tell Harry something else. | |||

| Just a little aside, I can appreciate that *recovering Catholic* bit! Though I don't know if any Catholic truly ever recovers! (I feel that I can say that, having been one myself once.)
Words can't describe how good and yet angsty this chapter was. I'm not at all a Draco fan, and you have me feeling very sorry for him...kudos! :) And it sounds like the Ferret has turned into quite the dish as well...damn Moody to Hell and back twice for what he did! Excellent plotline and characterizations, use of characters...now all we need is for Snape to make his grand entrance, preferably in the World's Oldest Profession himself...;) ~HR Author's Response: Since you've been such a wonderful reviewer, I tell. | Hmmm....Ginny needs to get smart and start squirreling away her household allowance. Not sure why she hesitates to leave Harry, unless it's because of not enough money to leave. Hermione could have been a lot more sympathetic to Ginny, who should know her brother Ron well enough to realize he and Harry are kindred spirits (dud husbands). I'm going to guess you have more angst for Hermione before she gets to the point where she hires Snape. WILL the Fudge-Moody law get changed by the end of this story? Isn't McGonagall around to do anything? Chapter 4 was great but now I'm hungry for Chapter 5! Author's Response: Minerva would speak up for them, were she still alive. I mentioned that they dies in the first chapter. It's okay, I forget some details when I'm reading a WIP too. | |||

| Wow, rough. You've done a great job at capturing the fine line upon which a situation like this exists. There are reasons for adultery and the circumstances are sometimes fraught with grey. I reiterate that Harry should never have placed a friend in the middle of this, especially given his suspiscions of unfaithfulness. I can see it though, he's sometimes so emotionally broken in canon (OotP esp) that it's painful to read. Anyway, ramble's over. Excellent job, waiting breathlessly for chapter 5 (and Snape)! | |||
