| Wow. I've been looking forward to this chapter, and now that it's here, it's excellent! Wow. The tension is something you just have to love. I'm curious as to how much more will be revealed to Hermione. Also, will she be telling Ginny the full truth about her meetings soon? Oh, I can't wait for the next chapter! Thank you! | Well, let's hope I managed to get the html codes right. We'll see. *smiles* Severus thinks Hermione is becoming emotionally attached to him? I rather think this goes both ways! :) Wonderful chapter, Betz! I have to say, I'm rather curious about Severus' wife. Just who was she? Is she an OC, or is she someone who died in the first war that can be found in the books? I found it interesting that Severus found Hermione's emotional detatchment disturbing. It is so different than the girl he once knew. I rather think that Hermione cuts herself off, in this case of Marge's death and her issues with the Prat, because she hates the fact that such bad things happen. Perhaps Hermione subconsciously thinks that if she lets herself hate, she won't be able to stop. She'd keep on hating. Hating her parents for not being what she needed them to be, hating Molly Weasley for being so over-bearing, hating Ronald for being such an idiotic ass, hating Ginny and Harry for getting her on this wild train ride in the first place, even hating the dead for leaving her in the first place. Hm... Once again, you've outdone yourself on the romantic interactions between Severus and Hermione! Talk about tension! I wonder who will burst first? *grins* That will be interesting to see! Once again, wonderful job! Author's Response: Yes, it does go both ways in the attraction department, but Severus is in denial. Another small bit about Severus' wife will come in chapter 28. She is an OC and info will come a little here, a little there. Severus will tell Draco everything once the Polyjuice is brewing. I find it very interesting that Severus is disturbed by her emotional attachment too...more on that in later chapters. It's not so much that Hermione is afraid that is she starts hating, she won't stop, she's just overwhelmed by the emotional demands put on her with everything happeneing within a few short weeks on top of the fatigue she has regarding her marriage and job. Add on top of that the contant state of regret she's living in before this shit storm decended upon her - and regret does tend to drain one's energies too - and you ahve one overtaxed witch. It's a coping mechanism. But if you se it as a fear of endless hating, then that's cool. That's the beauty of fiction, there's lots of room for interpretation. | excellent chapter..love the rising tension between the two...how long 'til the unmasking? How soon will the divorce be finalized? So many questions...update again soon...Love the story. Author's Response: How long until the unmasking? I know, but I just can't tell you. No, no hints or it will spoil the surprise. And who's divorce are you talking about? GInny or Hermione? Who said anyone was getting a divorce? I never fully specified if this was going to be a happy or angsty ending.....MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! | |||

| Already an update – did you have any vacations or did you sleep less the last days?!?! I enjoyed it very much, the conversation with the varying topics, the massage, the cassoulet, the laughter!! It is nice how they both think of their dinner meeting as a date, and it is touching how both are trying to rescue the resolve not to leave the platonic path. There are a lot of emotions, and bit by bit I’m becoming more curious about Hermione´s thoughts and reactions then she get the first ideas of Calleos true identity, and most of all, h o w she will get them… Thanks a lot for a wonderful chap! Author's Response: I did not get much sleep lately, as I was passing up desperately needed naps due to my daughter waking up in the middle of the night sevceral times crying to sleep with Mommy and Daddy. She's 11 months old and she wants to cuddle with us in bed. My betas have been working very, very hard. And until my one beta is done with her schooling and finals, I ordered her to put school first and beta'ing second, as she's been pushing herself as well. Glad you enjoyed this last chapter. Yes they both feel the pull to one another, but they are both fighting it, not wanting to give into their desires....they want control over the situation and their own bodies. Right now Hermione has already discounted the idea that Severus and Calleo could be the same person. Calleo has been warm and inviting, Severus was cold and cruel. But things will start happening in chapter 29 and onward. | |||
