| Wow... such an emotionally-charged chapter... *shivers* It was wonderful, Betz! Stunning! I was especially impressed by the use of the flowers and their special meanings... When you listed the flowers Hermione used to make bundles for Minerva, Albus, and Marge, I began to tear up. In the case of Minerva, I think Hermione saw her as somewhat of a substitute mother, since her own mum wouldn't exactly understand the circumstances of the Wizarding World. But when she was killed, along with Albus - I still have my own theories as to who was REALLY behind that, BTW *pauses to glare at one character in particular* - Hermione still had a great need of her 'mother' and losing her helped to set her onto the road she now walks. A road that, perhaps, she wasn't meant to walk. Maybe that's why Hermione has become so resigned to what goes on around her - her marital problems with The Prat, Ginny's relationship with Draco, Severus' book, etc. The world she lives in isn't the one she was really meant for... Again, wonderful chapter! Can't wait for more! :) Author's Response: Glad you are enjoying this fic...depressing and light-hearted in some spots. Glad you like the flowers...I always have loved the symbolism behind them, Victorians used to write love letters with flowers alone with their symbolism. I made you tear up? Wow...it takes a lot for a fic to make me cry (like Larilee's For Your Pleasure). Yes, I've thought that Minerva was a mother-mentor type figure for Hemrione. Yes, there are theories behind how and why Albus and Minvera dies, but only I know why and the truth shall be revealed in time. More is on the way, as chapter 24 is already in the queue - expect to see it in four days or less. | |||

| YAY! It's up! This was a wonderful chapter. I loved the dinner with Severus, Draco, & Ginny...it really makes me wonder what Ginny would think if Hermione took off with Severus, Draco, and her when they are finally able to escape! What does she really think of her brother? I'm ready to read about the date...come on chapter 25! Oh now, come on...you knew I'd say that! Author's Response: Thanks for the praise. Yeah, I like the idea of Severus having a nice dinner with Draco and Ginny. More on Ginny's thoughts in a later chapter...much later. Ginny has her own feelings about Ron. Chapter 24 is in the queue already and chapter 25 will enter the queue in the next day or so. | |||

| First I thought: poor Hermione, again an evening with too much people around – but in the end Harry+Ginny helped her to struggle her battle, better said, struggled it instead of her. Normally it’s H. who speaks on behalf of others, now she’s gaining back. Very convincing, the whole picture, with Ron defending his point of view, stubbornly burying his head in the sand. But also very understandable when it’s such a taboo in the Wizard’s World to divorce, and more a taboo to take professional advice for marital life. Remember, twenty –thirty years ago it was not really different in our muggle world – at least here in Europe. And H. simply must try all and everything to rescue this marriage - before that she won’t be able to go ahead. I’m very looking forward to your next chap! Author's Response: Yes, Hermione is usually the one who speaks up, but she's too tired and worn down by events to do so. I figure the Wizarding world may be great at healing the body, but they aren't quite up to Muggle standards when it comes to the mind. Ginny is a whole other story and the fact her family wants to pretend Tom never really fucked up her mind. Chapter 23 will be coming back from my 2nd beta in the next few days, then I'll be posting A.S.A.P., probably May 9th or 10th - then the validation queue wait will be a few more days. | |||

| Cool story - have just read it through from start until the latest chapter. It is fantastic! I have to admit I particularly like the Mrs Nettleton episode - it made me laugh out loud - not something I really should be doing in work! Author's Response: You're reading this at work? Uh-oh. With upcoming chapters, I wouldn't recommend that. Glad I made you laugh, as I was hoping to give my readers a good chuckle (or gufaw, belly laugh, howl of laughter, ROTFLMAO, etc.). | |||
