| Poor kids!! She's in despair and he knows it. She's GOT to give Severus a chance, he's so cute about her. And he's not someone on whom you would normally use the word 'cute' as a descriptor. I just want to hug him for his hopeful primping. He got quite defensive with Lavender, didn't he. Temper temper!! As if she doesn't have a right to know what's going on in that department. So much is riding on her at the moment (without her knowledge, no less) . Still, I can see why he wants her to himself and not to have to answer about her to the 'pushy three'... (DM/GW/LB) They poke a bit too harshly into his new feelings about her, and that would make anyone uneasy, especially someone like Severus. >>I am very interested in what happens to those lemons. They seem special, and it looks like Albus has a plan for them. Hermione almost made me cry when she was talking to Albus etc.. She has no one to help her, just tombstones to pour her heart out to. I think Poppy was wise to offer her a private visit. Actually, I would be dying to talk to Albus and Minerva's pictures, myself. :D Wouldn't it be great if we had that kind of thing in real life, and interactive memory of our loved ones?? Brilliant!!! But it is adorable, the way he's primping for her. You remeber about primping, right? Go back to chapter 14 for a refresher on preening. Yes, he got very defensive with Lav. There's the snarky bastard I know and love! Well, Draco and Ginny have backed off, seeing that something is developing between them. Hmmm, the lemons. Indeed. Yes, it was very kind for Pomona to offer her a chance to visit, though Hermione will have to find a room with some privacy, or the other portraits will go gossiping about the castle. | What an evil cliffie. I can't even complain, you did warn us...and I had a feeling that this is where it would end. I am thrilled (and not really surprised) that Hermione gave Lavender the warning...and having Lavender freak out, but then get right back to business upon hearing that Snape was seeing Hermione on Monday's was good. Loved the part that took place at the gravesite and now I will just wait, wait to see what Hermione will do...I hope we don't have to see Snape beg, that's just something I don't want to picture. Thanks for the update. Author's Response: Yes, I did give some warning, but only on WIKTT, WIKTTMisc., and Potter Place, not in the chapter summary. Yes, the sixty-four Galleon question is, whyat will Hermione do when she sees Snape. I don't mind the image of Snape begging, so long as he begs like he did the previous week, grinding away. | |||

| Oh the suspense!!!!!!!!!
I was delighted to read the paragraph where Hermione realises that almost anything Ron says infuriates her, even if Harry or Ginny said the exact same thing! It's so true! And Im also glad to see Hermione starting to get her old spark back, her inner fire that fuels her passion and intellect, and matches Severus' own internal flame.(I guess that makes Ron the fire extinguisher: awkward, red, clunky, and utterly devoid of intellectual, social, and emotional capabilities.)
Roughly how far along would you say the story is at this point? I'm curious. Author's Response: Yes, resentment makes the most same person irrational at times. This story is getting close to the end of the first act in this three act story. No, there will not be a separatre story for each act, just an obvious marking of where the story changes. I can't say how many chapters until the end of act one, but it's coming. | |||

| I only wish that my own stories could be as engaging as yours. All the work you put into each chapter is plainly evident and I know all the readers wouldn't have it any other way. So, how quickly do you write anyway? Cause I'm thinking we are going to need an update Right Now! ~ElizabethJade
Author's Response: How quickly do I write? A chapter a week on average (15-20 pages, 12 pt font)...one chapter and part of the next if I'm lucky...one every 10-14 days if the baby has been waking me up at 4 am constantly - therefore unable to get back to sleep or have been sick. Needless to say, I usually have a chapter in the works with at least one beta, but my first beta has caught up to me and I still need to finish chapter 42 - as the baby has been up at 4 am AND I've been sick. BLAH! No time, no energy. Know any house-elves that can babysit for me so I can get some writing done? | |||
